For a long time I have thought Jeff Beck to be the greatest living guitar plaver, But today I have to change my thoughts and give the honor of the greatest living guitar player to Tommy Emmanuel. I have never before heard such beautiful sounds from a guitar than when Tommy speaks thru his guitar. Amazing, thank you Tommy!

Tommy, your enormous respect for other musicians is really admirable! You allow others to shine while you compliment them with your genius, and never step over the top of their efforts. Keep it all up, you're an inspiration to millions!

That's absolutely beautiful. I have always watched Toms face and movements when he plays. You can see the pure love he pours into each note and now I have seen he is very gracious. I admire few people and Tommy is one who certainly deserves respect not only as the greatest..?.. guitarist, but a good man. Definitely on my 50 year old list of the greatest people I would love to meet that will never happen.

Tommy I've seen it now. Quite above what you can do is who you are. The care and respect you showed another legend in Janis Ian was full of love at Philadelphia. The sensitive support and the spirit in which you attended that beautiful scene was simply.... Bursting with heart and love and humility. This is what makes you great. What a role model and inspiration. Thanks Robert West Ps Janis Ian, I always loved you too. I sometimes think Tommy can over play it when he's accompanying someone but this was absolute perfection. I wouldn't have thought it possible to improve Janis Ian's original _"At 17"_ but I've just seen and heard it.

Tommy Emmanuel and Janis Ian, thank you for bringing us as close as possible to what that felt like for the two of you. You will always have those moments on the stage together encapsulated with all the accompanying emotions in your memories to cherish. We can watch and listen to the footage here, but only the two of you know what it truly meant. Shine on.

Brought tears to my eyes too! Such great songs - and the guitar work so beautiful...it really did move me so deeply...no way to express it other than to let the awe trickle from my eyes and run down my cheeks. I am so excited that I won the Facebook Contest for his concert at the Michael Rose Theater at University of Memphis and will get to see him perform this Friday night, September 26, 2014 and get to meet him him before the show. (Be still my heart ! The thrill of a lifetime.) I am a singer / songwriter and my idea of heaven on earth is 2 guitars / 2 voices. So this just was pure heaven for me !!!!!

Tommy any moment your on stage is a great moment....Seen you quite a number of times around Aus and phil as well, even back as far as the days when you and phil were gigging in a little club in Kings cross...Always a pleasure to be in your audience....
