In this documentary, I aim to capture that presence, and tell the unique story of Islam in Philadelphia.

It was ironic that they stood in front of Masjid Al Jami'at talking to immigrants about how Islaamic Philly is. Philly's strong Islaamic presence was not created by immigrants, it was established by the largest group of Muslims-- Black people and families who converted to Islaam.

Salam aleykum. Thanks for the documentary. I spent two Ramadan in Philadelphia in 2010 and 2011. I stayed in the mosque at night and met a lot of local Muslims. This was one of the best moments of my life. Very peculiar atmosphere at that time, and so much brotherhood.

This was really good ! I live outside of Philly and spend a lot of time in North / North East so this was a good showcase ! I found this vid because I’ve been doing a ton of research and trying to learn things about Islam. @@badees l was wondering because I excepted Islam in Fayetteville NC at Masjid Omar IBN Sayyid back in the mid 80s and authentic Hadiths were strongly rejected!
