Danny Briere couldn´t have given me a better first impression as the new GM than he did with the Provorov trade. It was a complex one, and the fact that he actually took on bad contracts from the Kings certainly confirmed what we all hoped would be the case, which is a full rebuild.

Let's hope so. Why did we get a shit goalie while we have 2 decent ones? Shopping hart? I don't like that. He's our best player. Errson reminds me of Bob. I hope we don't make the same mistake as we did with bob with him. I wish torts didn't have such an ego and would've let us go down in flames so we could've gotten Bedard. He would fit in lovely with what's left of our top lines..what we need is defense and no more locker room cancer. I think we all know who I'm talking about. I'm both excited and weary for October

That was a terrible trade to get picks so you can get a young defenseman in the draft. Provorov played tough minutes against the other teams top players with little support. The return was terrible with the hopes of finding a stud in the draft. Flyers have had little luck in top draft picks. Maybe Provorov is better suited to a second pair defense, but he will help Columbus as this trade was a mistake. The honeymoon with Flyer fans is about three years and your next superstar is ground up and shiped away for the next crapshoot draft pick. Kinda like Ghost!

@@oddity4all2see It wouldn't suprise me to see him playing in the NHL earlier than 3 years, but I do not see his game translating to a 50-goal scorer like all the hype. The competition and goaltending he faced as a 16-year-old and even now at 18 years old is suspect. Watching a highlight reel of his goals is enlightening, as there is allot of poke checking and nobody taking the body. He will take time to adjust to the NHL similar to Jack Hughes, so I hope Flyer fans do not expect an instant superstar.

@DonDrogowski I mean I hope he does get here. Not even just for the Flyers, I mean the NHL as a whole. He's a deserving player. I just hope politics don't get in the way. I see him being a beast, but not another ovi. We haven't been having too much luck with players. Remember Nolan Patrick? I forget who we could've had instead of him. Was it eichel? Or Hugh's? Hechier? Question.... do you get annoyed with people saying that niskenin leaving ruined the whole team?

I think a lot of us are realistic enough to know we're not gunning for the cup this season, hell even being a contender for the playoffs would be a wild outcome, but I think the goal is to see management, coaching and the players all on the same page, caring about improving the team and moving on from this "well we suck what do you expect" crutch. There's so much potential on the roster and I think we're all looking forward to it finally getting used this season. The only thing Philly fans like more than a win, is a comeback win.

Much respect to Keith Jones for taking on a job which is going to be very difficult with a lot of pressure, especially if the Flyers don't turn it around quickly. He and the new management team will be blamed (fairly or unfairly), especially in a place like Philly. Jones is leaving a pretty cushy, well-paying job at which is very talented in order to take on the pressure and uncertainty of being an executive with a tremendous amount of responsibility in a very unforgiving environment. Best of luck to Keith Jones and Daniel Briere in his their new roles and hopefully this is the start of a positive turnaround for the Flyers.

Jonesy n Danny are going to turn this around. Hoping for a blockbuster trade that moves us up in the draft, so we can get Will Smith. He is 2nd only to Jack Hughes for American ppg @ 2.00. He is friends w Cutter, n will be joining him at school in the fall. We also need a star 1C. It would also be great if we kept our #7, n got Ryan Leonard. That would give us an elite all American first line for Torts to work his magic with. 🤞🏻

I love the flyers and am a huge fan of both jonesy and danny. I am a life long fan through thick and thin and will stand by win or lose. I feel bad for carter because of the defense in front of him he does deserve better and defensemen do win games it is not all about scoring. Hockey is beautiful because it is a symphony of three different lines playing in harmony knowing exactly where every person should be and their role. Please don't trade carter hart he is who I come to games to see and is a bright spot with true talent. I would look for is players that show amazing stick handling ability
