I wonder whether Kawai will use this model themselves with their digital pianos? They produce lovely digital keyboards and stand alone digital pianos with active soundboards and so on. I've played Pianoteq through my Kawai but that is just an audio input through their speaker system. Their current sounds are sample based, with some modelling for resonance effects and so on. If they found a way to integrate Pianoteq into their complete set up, properly tuned and fed to the various speakers, soundboard and so on, then as an instrument it would be something special.

I suppose the soundboard as a speaker is an interesting variable there, rather than just stereo speakers - it might sound fabulous. I like my Roland action more, though!
