One of my favorite songs, that I truly take to heart, from one of my favorite albums by this legend of an artist, whom nobody will ever reach his legacy. Always inspiring, they'll never be anyone like you Phil. Legend. Long live, and wishing you all the best like always. As day by day goes by, your legacy keeps getting greater and greater. The song has so many meanings to all. Hope everyone has had a great start to the year 💙👑

I miss the 80's and early 90's really effin bad and am not kidding either. Something is very wrong with the world and I don't know what it is. There are many bands and solo artists whose music never get old and Phil is definitely one of them. This song of his especially pulls me instantaneous back 38 years.

Between Face Value and So, those guys *had* to have been spying on my life! (Or whichever album this originally came out on... I can't even remember! All I *do* remember was being on vacation in London, and there just so happened to be a rare-cuts record show going on in one of the hotel's conference rooms. I picked up a *very* lightly-used copy of 12-inchers for, I think, £11? Close to that, anyway!)

THIS WAS HIS SECOND PERFORMANCE IN DALLAS. THE CONCERT WAS SOLD OUT IN HIS FIRST PERFORMANCE AND SO DID HIS SECOND ONE. PLUS THE FACT HBO WAS THERE THAT NIGHT RECORDING THE SHOW. AND THEN RELEASLED WHAT THEY HAD TAPED. WHAT AN AMAZING SHOW AND NIGHT IT WAS. THE TICKET PRICE I PAID WAS $ 100.00 AH TICKET. 200 BUCS WAS WORTH IT. I FELL IN LOVE WITH DALLAS AND ENDED UP MOVING BACK THERE ONCE I GOT HOME TO THE U.P. OF MICHIGAN. AMAZING!

1994, I was 15 years old. My first (and only) time I went to a Phil Collins concert. Both Sides Tour in Utrecht, Netherlands. Great concert and I deeply regret it not going to more concerts. Two years ago I went to the Genesis concert in Amsterdam. I guess it will be the last time I'd see Phil perform. What a great performer and musician. So dedicated. Still a fan.

Lyrics to this truly iconic track; 💙 Take that look of worry, I'm an ordinary man They don't tell me nothin', so I find out all I can There's a fire that's been burnin' right outside my door I can't see, but I feel it, and it helps to keep me warm So I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind Seems so long I've been waitin', still don't know what for There's no point escaping, I don't worry anymore I can't come out to find you, I don't like to go outside They can't turn off my feelings like they're turnin' off the light But I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind Oh I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind So take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home, oh Lord 'Cause I've been a prisoner all my life And I can say to you Take that look of worry, mine's an ordinary life Working when it's daylight, and sleeping when it's night I've got no far horizons, I don't wish upon a star They don't think that I listen, oh but I know who they are And I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind Oh I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind So take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home, oh Lord Well, I've been a prisoner all my life And I can say to you But I don't remember Take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember, take, take me home

Since I was ten years old I liked him I never understood why because I didn't understand English. it was the melodies, his voice and over time (when I learned English) his lyrics. songs that have marked my life like that of so many people. dozens of songs that have made us laugh, cry, suffer and be the happiest people in the world. Thank you Phil Collins for each of your notes, your songs, your choruses and in short, thank you for each of those moments that you have shared with us. I will always be forever grateful. You have been the soundtrack of many lives, one of your legacies. Thanks so, so much.

Just wanted to stop by to mention that this gives me goosebumps so big you can see them on OS maps. It also has me weeping for my lost youth. The 15 year old boy, listening to No Jacket Required, worrying about whether Alison fancied him or not. Unaware that Gayle (who he wrote off as out of his league) fancied him and..... .... honestly, I'd sacrifice. 20 years of my life to go back and tell her.

Thank you Phil for the wonderful music of the 80s and 90s. I still enjoy your old albums, and many artists I grew up with were very talented and deserved the fame they got. Today, I can't say as much. Between the autotune and predictable tunes, it's nauseating. Before anyone gives me a hard time, I have looked into indie music. Many indies think they can self-produce forever without ever needing a co-producer and sound engineer. A good team can give you that final push that makes your song epic.

I don't think "No Ticket Required" ever got a domestic release in the US on anything but VHS. I has a Japanese LaserDisc copy back in the day, but it got smashed up in a move, and now the asking price on eBay is through the roof. If you had the patience, you could record the audio as a WAV file and burn a CD from that. That's as close as we'll ever get to Warner Music putting out a CD version of this concert.
@robertromero29283 ай бұрын
I believe The No Ticket Requied concert was originally a HBO release if I got that right. But other than that Phil Collins release's on KZbin of the individual songs of the concert hopefully digitized but maybe not. Unlike Wings Over America (Paul McCartney) tour which by the time it was released on DVD/Blu-ray, half his audience that would of purchased it had passed away unfortunately. Bootlegs and overseas releases will always exist and of course laserdisc is like beta which lost out to VHS. I actually recently found the entire No Ticket Requied concert in KZbin, but I forgot who the You Tuber that posted it but it wasn't Phil Collins since maybe HBO was the culprit on the no American DVD release after all. But other back in the day HBO concerts had no problem making to a DVD release like Earth Wind & Fire. I'm also guilty of buying a Bootleg DVD on Amazon back in the day. Just ask Paul McCartney who's Wings Over America bootleg DVD from Amazon stopped selling finally after it's American DVD release Amazon is telling these artists (even though Amazon's bylaws don't allow bootleg's of anything) and record companies don't release it on DVD or will allow seller's to sell bootleg DVD version's. McCartney missed out on millons of DVD sales to Amazon's bootleg's till he finally released many years to late a official DVD America release. Hallelujah
