@@SurpriseMeJT I ride a lot. I get bored with the handful of safe routes I can get to without packing the bike on my car and driving a long way. Austin just has more to offer. But Houston has better food.
@SurpriseMeJT5 жыл бұрын
@@stuartdryer1352 Yup, been there done that! I think Houston has better Asian food, and it's getting better but I think the availability of healthy and more creative foods exist in Austin. Austin is getting over crowded now though. I'm in Europe now and both food and cycling is better than both. :)

Might be a controversial comment but it appears you're getting a lot of "car love" IDK maybe it's the editing. So is riding a second or two off the back of a car, in the middle of the road, after a lead out a legit KOM? If so I'm going to get my buddies to "film me" (aka drive a uhaul van in front of me) on the next KOM I'm going for.
@worstretirementever5 жыл бұрын
That wasn’t the actual take
@Two-StrokeLife5 жыл бұрын
@@worstretirementever I'll take you at your word but the editing of you behind the lead out/camera car @ 12:52, in the road behind the camera car @ 13:07 / 13:17 and the conversation with the lead out man makes it look sketch. Hope your recovery is going well and I do really enjoy your videos it's just this one raised an eyebrow or two.

@@Two-StrokeLife Attempt that got the KOM is in the extended cut on FloBikes.
@prestachuck28675 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that a lot of the KOMs on Strava are set during fast paced group rides a.k.a drafting most of the way then attacking near the top. Not most of the pros though, and certainly not Phil's. It's one of the reasons I enjoy watching this series. He displays what is possible for a gifted athlete to do entirely on his own and documents so much of it so well. And his comedic timing is usually great as well. Migas...LOL
@Two-StrokeLife5 жыл бұрын
@@prestachuck2867 Like I stated to Phil, I take him at his word. But to address your argument presta...even if that is the case you can see it on strava, as long as there is other riders in the group using strava. Group ride kom's are also fairly accepted (although not as respected as solo efforts) because they are group rides, not intentional pacing/lead outs. Even if they where intentional you would have to gather a group of rather fast guys/gals to pace and lead you out on bicycles which is way different than having some random person drive a car or truck in front to pace/draft off. Cheers
