Part of acting is not only looking the part, but sounding the part. He totally butchered the southern accent in North and South. I have lived in many southern states and never heard ANYONE speak that way. Poor acting. Should have studied the accent rather than playing it off the cuff. Preparation is needed in acting.

Actually although his southern accent was over the top, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I and my sister would imitate his lines
