+Maria Lopez That is wonderful about your brother getting help :) However, Philip Chism doesn't suffer from ANYTHING that clinicians (at least credible ones) found. The only thing that he suffers from is being a totally heartless, pre-calculating monster. He knew exactly what he was doing when he murdered Colleen Ritzer, he chose to feign mental illness to get out of consequences.

My guess is it is going to take the jury less than one hour to come to it's decision. Thank you for uploading.

I have remarked before on this but damn!!! This prosecutor is well prepared and knows her facts and how to articulate them.

To me it is clear that Chism had planned to kill Ms. Ritzer for some time. He came to school prepared with a change of clothes, a weapon, etc. He made sure Ms. Ritzer would tell him to stay after school. He stalked her to the ladies' room knowing he would attack her there. It's chilling to see him pull the hood over his head and putting gloves on.

Just letting everyone not on twitter or news sites know that the defense attorney is out sick today, so opening statements have been moved to Monday. Nothing was streamed yesterday. Have a good weekend everyone

+Carla Shake, I think Chism is a powder keg if he isn't on medication. Unfortunately, he cannot be forced to take his medication at any time he refuses to do so. Nevertheless, he needs to be in prison for the rest of his life. There is no way he can be rehabilitated and the monstrocity of his acts against Colleen Spitzer doesn't soften my position on that one bit. He is crazy like a fox thinking he could put one over on this psychiatrist.

Definitly premeditation. He had at least 3 changes of clothing in his bag. I have never known children take that many clothes to school with them

Anybody coming to the trial late, or who is unsure of the facts and motivation of the defendant, could watch opening statements for a good idea.

+Carla Shake, Chism attacked a female staff member in June 2014. He followed her into a locker room at the Dept. of Youth Services. He had a pencil in his hand as a weapon and he was in the process of strangling her when other staff members heard her scream.
