A PKD fan here, Thank you. That was a very touching story. I'm sending a link to a friend and his wife who have gone through some harrowing medical difficulties lately. I think it will brighten their day. Just stumbled across your channel - new subscriber! Again, Thanks for your efforts! -dave

Thanks Dave! I'm also a huge fan of PKD. Love narrating his stories and this is one of my favorites. Thanks for watching/listening and sharing the PKD goodness with others.

@@VintageSciFiAudiobooks No, thank you! Great job reading the material! I'm looking forward to catching up on your catalog. Too bad PKD didn't get the accolades or the income he deserved during his lifetime. Regards -dave

@dgwachtel I agree with you, it's very sad that Philip K. Dick didn't receive the recognition he deserved during his lifetime. He was extremely talented. I just narrated two of his books in 24 hours. Human Is, which you've heard and Meddler. Every short story he wrote instantly becomes one of my favorites. He was that good. Again, thank you for listening. I cannot say thank you enough because I truly love what I do!!

Easy to see why Philip K Dick is considered one of the greats of Sci Fi writing.

Yes it is. A lot more PKD on the way including a story I just recorded yesterday that has become one of my favorite sci-fi stories of all time. Thanks for listening!!

This story is very thought provoking on many angles. This story and "Love as scripted" by Jinji Ito have that same effect.

Thank you for all these! I'm a huge PKD fan, and have listened to most of his stories (and read his main books in addition). Could you possibly read his beautiful, poignant "Explorers We"? Even if not, thank you so much, again, for doing these!!!

@TheGreenestG I am glad you found us and if you haven't already I hope you'll subscribe so you never miss any of our vintage sci-fi stories. All the stories we narrate are in the public domain and I don't believe "Explorers We" is in the public domain. However, I'll see what I can find out. Thanks for listening!!

I'm a huge Dickhead. We Can Remember It Wholesale and Second Variety are his two greatest stories.
@VintageSciFiAudiobooks Жыл бұрын
If you're requesting those two stories here's what's happening, We Can Remember It Wholesale is not in the public domain which means we cannot legally record it and make it available for sale or for free. We haven't narrated Second Variety yet, but it'll probably be around 2 hours when we do. When we add the other elements to it that would probably push the podcast over 2 hours. So far, the longest episode has been 1 hour 11 minutes. Will people listen if we do a 2 hour podcast? You could have simply been making a comment and not a request, if so, please disregard everything else I've said lol!!

If the word Rexorian didn't remind me of lizzard people so much, I'd say the world needs more Rexorians. .. Don't mean to sound prejudice. And, actually, if lizzard people were as nice one might be inclined to say the same. Just don't take my mind or body. I promise I won't be toxic.
