Absolutely crushing guitar work by Philip, but also a huge shout out to the drummer & bassist for holding down the bottom end! Definitely giving of the Layton/Shannon vibe

He's so much better than the horde of pretenders out there that get coverage in guitar mags and elsewhere (male and female). What are you LISTENING TO? This guy is a bad man!

How does that bridge pickup sound like that is a universal question
@Chakirisan2 жыл бұрын
One thing that contributes is the amp, playing through a Vibrolux head (I believe) lends to that muddy distorted tone… plus I’m sure he’s dialed his pedals to enhance the bottom.
@imstarz91232 жыл бұрын
Easy. He is playing through a fuzz pedal. There's an Instagram live video of him on KZbin explaining that. He also gets some glassy cleans from the fuzz pedal. Just rolls the guitar volume back. He is an open book and shares how he gets all his sounds. His picking hand and how he holds the pick are important too. He plays beautifully but violently. Philip Sayce is an alien and I love it.

It’s the amp. Modified by Tommy cougar, called „enchilada mod“ this is a huge deal for this kind of sound..,, the tone. Is in the hands obviously

Not to take from Phillip's incredible talent, but is that Fred Armisen on bass?
@1AnitrasDance2 жыл бұрын
No, the bass player is Sam Bolle
