Thank you so much for this wonderfully clarifying talk. Once in a while, I feel envy as you have described it and you are right, it's totally different from jealousy. ... I wonder if envy is connected to the fact that we are all bundles of talents and skills, most of which by necessity go undeveloped. But when we see someone playing the harp, say, it awakens feelings of "oh, I could have done that."

Many thanks Philip :) Re "envy", I am a musician. I have been all my life. For me, being able to play an instrument is just another bodily function. To hear you say that you are envious of a musician is very interesting because, since joining OBOD (thirty-ish years ago), I have been quite envious of you ;) You have an amazing ability to connect with people, via words (Bardism), healing energy (Ovatism) and guidance (further Druid "stuff"). Anyway, many thanks again and also for the wonderful meditation :)

Envy is an interesting sliding scale, as for me I am envious of anyone able to attend such wonderful festivals (affordability, work obligations, despite being a hard worker for the NHS, etc) therefore to even be there would lessen that for me :) I have learned that disappointment arises instead of festering into jealousy and work with that.
