El LP Cristal (1979), primer álbum autoeditado del músico electrónico francés Philippe Guerre, grabado con el único auxilio de un teclado de cuerdas Elka Rhapsody y un sintetizador monofónico Teisco Synthesizer 100F. En 1985 el propio autor publicaría una reedición del disco en vinilo con una nueva portada y con los temas siguiendo un orden distinto a los del disco original.
Después de su segundo LP Concerto Pour La Mort D'un Clown (1981), Guerre no volvió a publicar ningún otro álbum.

exactly! i hear people say, "i was born in the wrong generation" because their tastes in music is older, but i think that's foolish. there is no way anyone could amass a rich music library back then in comparison to now.

Audionautas exactly vintage strings like the harpsi-pianos, in some old times I could test this keyboard in a shop in early 80', i remember wanting this so much for a while, could not afford it or forgot after, and got a Juno 60

Audionautas But the Elka Rhapsody had a special string full sound very vintage like no other, got an old Solina later for a while. Also a good one

Yeah, that's true, they had a really warm sound that is not easy to replicate exactly with analog or digital synthesizers.

Blake was on Clearlight's 1975 Symphony LP, which this album has a lot in common with. But it also reflects some of the tracks on Space Art's first LP (Onyx, from 1977), another French electronic group.

Never heard of this album before. Obviously a classical trained composer. The composition at 20:02 sounds as an electronic version of a late 18th century piece.

+generalstabssjef In my opinion iTunes is focused on mainstream artists. Experimental sounds and some kinds of electronic music are not there and will never be. This album was released by the artist himself and never re-released in digital format, so that's the reason why almost every short edition cassette and vinyl only releases are not on iTunes.

Unfortunately, we don't have any official digital release on the platforms and neither on CD. It's a shame, the CD gets the most of the original master tapes quality. I heard Philippe Guerre is deceased by quite some time already.

+zinni Symphonic/melodic electronic music or cosmic electronic music. It was very popular in the 1970s and early 1980s. If you like it, you can try first Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Zanov, Didier Bocquet, Neuronium or Joël Fajerman among others :-)

This is the Original electronic music. Nowadays this genre it is almost limited to be reproduced in dancing clubs and it is called "electronic music" just because they use electronic machines. The original electronic music is not limited only to thr use of those machines, but it is related to the composition techniques which generates emotion much more than only want to dance.
