I don't know why but The Philippine Airlines look really Regal to me. Its design is simple yet elegant. Really Regal. Anybody can freely oppose but to me, it's the best looking paint job on a commercial Airplane. Minimalist and classy. I love looking at Philippine Airlines. Good job!

I flew on this bird, October 2017, Manila to London. It took 16.5 hrs. But on the positive side, had flown from London to Manila via Dubai on Emirates, got to say, Philippine Airways was much better....but it's a lloonnnnggg flight...going back there soon....cant wait, Filipinos are second to none, brilliant people, like us Irish folks lol 😉

It's hard to recommend PAL if you're a high ranking member of any airline alliance, though (e.g. Star Alliance Gold). Their only partners are Etihad and ANA, so tough luck if you want to make the most out of your trip.

last august i was one of the lucky people to fly from manila to hong kong in a a350/1000 by cathay pacific airlines, a big congrats to the airbus team,it was a wonderfull flight,i fall in love with the a350!

They will never buy A380s. Most airlines now opt for long-range twin-jet airliners because they're simply always going to be more efficient than 4-engine planes. liquidfire30 you mean water salute? Usually only for inaugural destination flight. I’m sure the plane got a water salute when it first landed in RPLL. If you’re talking about the ground support crew after pushing back when I was in an ANA flight they would vow after giving a sign that everything had been disconnected.

I was referring to the bow and salute/waive goodbye by the ground personnel before the plane taxis for takeoff. It's something that I only ever experienced flying out of Japan and it's a distinctly Japanese gesture. 😊

Acain Carina Yes they are first in charging more, first in poor service, first in poor Customer Service, first in being NOT on schedule and so on . . . PAL is not even on the best TOP ten Airlines. I tried them once and never did it again and one thing I never forget I was going home from the Middle East approximately 30 minutes before we landed to Manila Int’l Airport at least 4 of the flight attendants were walking UP and down the isle shouting Dollar Dollar Dollar. Found out later they want your dollars changed to pesos.
