Both of these companies have almost NOTHING TO DO WITH ENGINES, which they buy from other manufacturers such as Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce, etc., so comparing Airbus and Boeing by engine problems is moronic. I'll give you a simple example so that ya'll can understand. Let's say you have a car. Let's say it's a Ford Expedition or something. While driving, your tire explodes. Would you blame Ford? The pilot did this absolutely correctly. In an emergency, the priorities for the pilots are: Aviate, Navigate, Communicate. In this case, they needed to do a rapid assessment of the situation, decide that they were going to return to the airport, work through that return with air traffic control, and then immediately begin doing their downwind checks for a safe landing at LAX. Inform the head flight attendant I'm a situation. And then inform the passengers the situation.

Hey ABC, stop with the sensationalism. This wasn't that big of a deal... Jets have two engines for this reason among others. Pilot did what he was supposed to do, aviate, navigate and then communicate.

I'm no pilot, but would have this happened anytime during the flight or more likely during takeoff when airflow is most needed at max thrust? Luckily the plane was only minutes away from LAX otherwise if the stall kept on going, it could have resulted to engine failure.

I love the title. Adding "Boeing" as if Boeing has anything to do with the engines that are on it. It also doesn't matter that the "Boeing" 777 has the distinction of the best safety record of any airline model aircraft. Come on ABC, and you wonder why so many people say your biased. Even though your intentions suck, the way you worded it is actually true. A Philippine Airlines' Boeing jet did report engine failure, but it was only one computer on the plane talking to another computer receiving data at the Airlines maintenance base. Other than that, it was a pilot on a radio reporting the engine failure. Nice try ABC

@artmathias97255 жыл бұрын
@@battyjoe You obviously missed the whole point of the comment. The point was that it doesn't matter what plane has that engine, if it is an engine problem, than ANY aircraft beit Boeing (B), Airbus (A), McDonald Douglas (MD) or Lockheed (L) will be inflicted with the same issue. Of course the anti-america left cheer for American failure, so they make it an American issue. The only American issue here is with the American General Electric Co. Edit: Not trying to imply that GE has a problem with their engine, just saying that they would be where the problem would lie. GE is the manufacture that is holding up the 777-X, but that is not what this story was about. This story is about something that is an occasional occurrence on a highly proven engine, or any turbine driven engine for that fact.
