Its good to purchase 5 additional 97 meters MRRV from Japan but our government must funded local shipbuilding companies like Josepfa Slipway incorporated to build Large vessels for our PCG atleast 100 to 110 meters Patrol vessels it can create more jobs for our people as well our economic growth.

It's much better to support propmech since propmech is more experienced in building military ships than Josefa slipways, since Josefa slipways are most focused on commercial ships or ships that are incapable for warfare

PH might want to look at the LCS ships the U.S. is retiring early. The aren't great for the type of fighting the U.S. is preparing for but they should work well for an Island nation needing fast ships that have relevant size and the ability to carry some surface to surface missiles.

The freedom class LCS has a transmission problem, this problem is so bad the US decided to make whole new batch of Constellation class ships.

@@coffeeisthepathtovictory1290 The U.S. has always been crap at peacetime procurement. Hasn't the transmission been fixed in the more recent freedom class? The Liberty class with a ton of Harpoons and a few NSMs (if possible) used as missile trucks hiding in all the islands seems like it would be potentially very effective. Add in the low crew needed and a suspicion that the U.S. would sell those things cheap. All this comes useful in PLAN adventuring gets worse. Let's be honest any ship or boat will get taken out fast if the CCP attacks, but it would be a good way to hurt them while giving the PH sailors a chance to get out of dodge after launching their supply

@@gups4963 If it doesn't need change gear from diesel to gas, it might be good as a ship that would need to stay by the coast near a harbor at all times platform, at a max speed of 8 - 12 kts. Fast trawler speeds.

PCG should look into possible Coast Guard variants of 107m Jose Rizal Frigates, 116m HDC-3100 and 94m HDP 2200 since HD Hyundai is planning on investing in the Agila Subic shipyard. Gayahin yung China Coast Guard na may coast guard variants ng Type 054 at 056 warships.
