I'm honestly wondering how different our culture would be without the Spanish colonization? Like how much of the traditions would be left in this day and age?

@@Cicada-oo7ti You should listen to other pre-colonail Philippine music. The Kulintang ensemble, the Kutiyapi, the flute music. It's all truly beautiful. I've been listening to various Filipino music recently, and with a simple KZbin search you can find an array of videos of this music. It's not yet dead, and listening will help keep it that way. Amazingly, there are still places in the Philippines where there is virtually no western musical influence, so authentic Filipino music is still around. I'd recommend looking up and listening to master Samaon Sulaiman, for a start.
