Emilio Aguinaldo was the worst president in the Republic of Philippines. He only chooses people with loyalty for him and not strategies nor tactics.. Heneral Luna had everything the country needed although Aguinaldo has been by far the worst traitor in history.. Aguinaldo would've had to contend with infighting with his government, that and if his fears were true, Luna would have created a Junta government essentially overthrowing him from power. Winning the people's hearts is easy, governing is not. Then he s to fight a war against the Sultanates in Mindanao to fully unify what would be the Philippine Archipelago, which would end up with people there despising us and secessionist movements rising left and right. The more I thought about it, the more I understood why Rizal didn't want the country to be independent just yet. Just have autonomy for now from the Spanish as he thought the people were not yet ready to govern themselves just yet. And I'm afraid he was right. It is rather hypocritical of the US back then to despise colonialism only for them to do what they fought against but It was most likely for the best.

No, actually there are different version of it American was falsely made that one "killing Goyo while mounting his horse" sounds heroic and It will be given a lot of praise to the shooter

@@bullymaguire321 the americans fabricated that story to sell the newspapers. americans actually like making people as this some kind of perfect heroic figure to be part of nation-building. in fact, Goyong died just like in the video. in the US army document, it was mentioned like what happened in the video. only the newspapers and tabloids made that story sound heroic and dramatic because they're also the ones who released the story about goyong as a playboy(it is true tho). this movie is actually the only one who accurately depict his death
