Yes, you have to get an exit ticket proving you will leave. The cheapest is to buy what they call a “throw away ticket”. You can buy a ticket for approximately $20. Its not a real flight ticket but it is a aid reservation so you can print out a regular boarding pass or just save it on your phone. Just make sure the exit date is less than 30 days from your arrival date.

Hi , and others maybe someone can help me here , once I arrive in the Philippines I have the 30 days visa but wanted to get the 29day extension once I arrive , but I have to leave for thailand 4 days after arrival in the Philippines only for 2 days then back to Philippines again , if I got the 29 day extension would I loose this or not and have to do again ? I just need to get some things in Thailand , many may say get after you come back but if I can extend when I first arrive Manila be a lot easier for myself especially when I can do at the airport on arrival in Manila airport extension , any help welcome .

First off, you can’t get the extension until about two weeks before your first visa expires. And when you go to Thailand and then return, your 30 day visa starts over.

I was told you can apply for the first 29day extension the day you arrive , I understand you need to reapply at least 2 weeks prior to extend again

@@blackdave8525 all I can tell you is what immigration told me. When you apply for any extension you should apply at least 5 days prior to expiration but they wouldn’t let me apply more than two weeks earlier. With that said, you will find that each office has different rules. That’s common here. My information came from the Davao office. Even each LTO and LGU operate on different rules and times. During the Covid lock down, even each barangay had their own rules. Just how things work here. Back to your situation, if it was me, I would wait until I returned from Thailand. Things get mixed up here very easily. That’s just something you have to adjust to. The Philippine government makes everything far more complicated than need be so you have to do everything to make their job as easy as possible. Basically when you leave the Philippines, everything starts over. So your extension would not carry over. When you return, you start a new 30 day free and then your extensions start. If you wait until your return, that just gives you longer time to stay before paying the extension.

He is correct. You have to do your first one at immigration or a certified processor service. They need to take your picture. But as I understand, you can renew your ACR card online.

sweet but do we need to buy round trip ticket and then throw away the return ticket when we go philippines? or do I buy a 1 way ticket from Canada to Manila And another Separate ticket for example manila to hong kong? Or they are into 1 ticket? How does that work

You have to show an outbound ticket before you arrive so they know your leaving after your 30 or more days ,by getting a throw away ticket means your leaving but if you intent to stay longer you throw it away and this is what that means , you can’t just buy a one way ticket

I apologize for the late response. First off, you do have to show an exit ticket soon arrival or before, depending on the airline. If you plan on staying longer than a month or two, your best option is to purchase a throw away ticket. You can google that and find many sources. Mine cost around $20. It is an official ticket but not actually usable. But your main one way ticket then purchase the throw away dated 28 or 29 days after your arrival date. Option two is to buy a real ticket to the cheapest place you can find and just don’t use it. Again, so sorry for the late answer. Hope this helped you.
