Immigration has introduced some changes in 2024 that could significantly impact you-or perhaps not at all. In this video, I’ll cover the key updates for 2024, including the annual report requirements, tourist visa extensions, and the new eVisa system.
📍If you’re 50 years old or over and want a permanent visa in the Philippines, check out this website: www.srrvguide....
❇️ Other Useful Links
Bureau of Immigration List of Offices: immigration.go...
Accredited Visa Agencies: immigration.go...
All passengers bound for the Philippines must register to E-TRAVEL:
etravel.gov.ph/
📍 Foreign Tourists, except those covered by Balikbayan Privilege, may be required by airlines upon check in to show an onward/exit ticket within 30 days of arrival. You may rent a ticket here to satisfy this requirement for just $16: onwardticket.c...

Hi Teri, nice to see you back😀 Kakabalik lang namin galing pinas for Christmas and New year holiday. No problem sa immigration nong papasok sa Pilipinas as long as meron kang E-travel. Yong pabalik naman sobrang haba parin ng pila sa check-in baggage sana dumating yong time na yong mga foreign nationals meron silang designated na que kasi parang unfair kung sama-sama sa mga Pilipino dahil sobrang daming cheni-check na mga papeles at daming luggage it takes 15-30mins bawat pasahero unlike sa mga foreigners very straightforward lang ang checking. Me chance pa para makapag relax or kumain man lang bago ang flight….

I kept getting the red cross and "not illegible" message, but it was just a silly mistake on my part! I'm in my 4th month here, and wanted to purchase the 2 month extension. It wasn't working for me because this would have meant it reached the 6 month mark, which is only available at the BI Office only. So I could only get the 1 month extension this time around. Thank you so much as always for your updates Ma'am. One thing you can always count on is things will change. Do you have any info on how a foreigner with visa are able to renew their passport without returning to the USA?
@JenniferTerri
@JenniferTerri 27 күн бұрын
The passport holder needs to go online to the American Embassy website in Manila, fill out the passport renewal form, and pay $130 using a credit card. Afterward, the passport holder should go to LBC to mail their passport, the payment confirmation, and the completed renewal form. After about a week, the passport holder should log in again to use the “Track Your Passport” feature. By entering their email address, they will receive updates. The process typically takes 6-8 weeks to receive the new passport along with the old one.

Hi Terri, I want to eventually live permanently in the Philippines, I'm from the United Kingdom, in October I visited the Philippine embassy in London hoping to get some real helpful information from the staff, but they said it's all online, all the information, what I am asking, is, because I'm travelling to the Philippines in March for a month, is it a good idea to put down a deposit on a rented house and secure that with a few months rent, so that when I go back to the UK and return to the Philippines to emigrate I have a home address in the Philippines to to tell the immigration in the Philippines? Or should I just apply an SSRV, I'm 70 and in receipt of a regular pension

I chose to stay with the tourist visa rather than a retirement visa. The reason being that the retirement visa requires you to put 10 K USD (appoximately 15 K Cdn) in a Philippine bank and the only thing you can use it for is a down payment on a condo. That money is locked unless you change or visa or you are leaving the country and not returning. That is a large part of my saving and it is better left in my bank account in case of an emergency. In my late 60's I have no desire to buy a condo that I would have to make monthly payments to the bank and condo fees. I have no idea the exact amount that would be per month but I know it would be much higher than the rent I am paying here. One never knows when your time is up on this planet so I intend to keep my money for things I want to do and not leave it to a Philippine bank in the event of my untimely demise

Secondly, assuming I am given a Balikbayan visa, will they question the fact that I leave at 60 days without my wife accompanying me as she had already left the country ahead of me? Many thanks!

And then Philippines becomes more poor after that. World doesn't work like that. Only one competitive thing that Philippines can offer is 3 years of tourist visa and nothing else. It's basic rule from marketing, if you can't offer something good then you should sell products cheaper. All Filipinos talk about "then don't come here" but if you wanna play "dare me" then you should be strong enough. And the problem is Philippines can't offer another decent visa if you're young and don't have wife here so only option to live is tourist visa

Is it any wonder why the philippines' economy is so bad. This is why so many foreigners are leaving the philippines. It's all about paying more money to stay longer. So many foreigners are packing up and going to Thailand and Cambodia Mexico, etc, where it works out overall better on costs. Also better healthier food and hospitals in thailand. The Philippines government won't boost their economy by making it more difficult for foriegners to stay there long term. It will only distract foreigners from visiting and staying there that boost there economy.

@1951Ford Ай бұрын
When you get back to the Philippines, you will have to go to the BI office to do the annual check in, with your ACR card and passport, and pay the fee plus a fine. The fine is 200 peso/month, but no more the 2000 peso in a year, I'm also going to be late filing.

 @1951Ford I can only speak from myself..l do 13 A visa. About 6 years ago.. I did leave the . Just before christmas..To the USA.. I did get back to the philippines.. First week in August.. I did go to the main office of Bureau Immigration.. in Manila.. Within two weeks.. Yes , I had a Pay for my annual report.. With no extra fees.. Because of the stamps in my USA passport.. Remember this was about 5 years ago.. Who knows If the philippine laws change sense then 😅😂😅

Some PH immigration officers are unaware of applications for duel citizenship from former PH citizens. and give out wrong information. This happened in UK and Manila....!

Your first extension is called a Visa waiver and it can be done online. You'll just need to know the details on your passport.

Because i was coming to get my srrv in 2018 i was allowed to get the 29 day extension before I left Australia so i had a 59 day visa before i came here and everything went smoothly. Good luck with your visa

When I applied in 2022 my facilitator submitted the extension to Immigration. I paid him the visa extension fee and he did the leg work. That’s why you pay them the $1400 fee. To facilitate…

On your second month renewal tourist visa they make you have to have a ACR card and they make you pay for it at the bureau of immigration or you can leave the country and not extend

BI will be giving me an ACR card soon, because I am on a tourist visa. But in a couple of months I’ll leave Philippines and quickly re-enter with my wife, using Balikbayan privilege. Will I need to file a report based on my recently issued ACR card?

If I can stay in Philippine on tourist visa for 3 years, why do I have to have a return ticket to enter.

Jennifer, Being a US foreigner, If I use the balikbayan privilege upon entrance to the Philippines with my wife, in which we plan she will have her dual citizenship by that time of entry, could a new balikbayan visa be issued or a previous one be renewed or extendid if we plan to go back and forth a few years before applying for a military srrv. Does that make sense? At some point I'd probably just get the srv, but starting out, if the baliknayan visa can just start over a second or multiple times like a tourist visa, that might be an advantage to a family trying to start out in the Philippines. What do you say, Jennifer?
@ytcano
@ytcano Ай бұрын
It doesn't matter if she is a dual citizen or not. As long as you arrive together you can get the balikbayan privilege as often as you like. Come and go as you please!

Do you have to be away from Philippines for one year to avail of the balikbayan visa upon arrival? Or you can get it every time you come regardless of length time away from Philippines. THANKS
@ytcano

You can get it every time you arrive if you are a former filipino. If you are not you must arrive with your Filipino spouse. There is no time limit. You can come and go freely.

If it's your first extension you need to select "Visa Waiver" **not** tourist visa extension.
