Good resource contact for a lot of expat concerns. One thing I'd like to hear about regarding the SRRV is the income requirement when someone doesn't have a pension or social security and will be living on their IRAs for retirement. Some people could have a million dollars (or more) in their IRA accounts which should last a lifetime in the Philippines, so is that enough? This also affects the deposit amount required for the SRRV ($10k or $20k).

Goid addition to your team. If you retire in the Philipinnes and get an SRRV are you considered a resident alien and subject to Philipinnes taxation on US generated income. I have heard that it is safer to be under 6 months a year in the Philipinnes on Tourist VISAs. Many USA citizens have misdemeanor charges. I would like to see her address these issues on the livestream.

No, you are not subject to Philippine tax unless you get income from the PI. SRRV allows you to work in the PI but subject to taxes. Any pensions, SS or income from the US is not subject to PI taxes.

I have been pre-screened regarding my DD214 and have paid the first half (php27.5k). They have been a little slow communicating, but things do seem to be progressing. I'm sure they're very busy with the business your vlog has brought them. I will keep you informed via replies to this comment.

Rest assured, we are on top of your application and are very open to feedback and suggestions to improve our services. Thanks again :)

I'm happy to report that C & G Consulting has begun a weekly update process for those of us who have engaged them for their services. In my case, the SRRV. I have received the first of the comprehensive updates which I am promised every Friday. Of course, if you're in the US, you will probably see it Thursday evening (if Friday is your day). I received an email yesterday that informed me of what has been done and what is yet to be done. I did follow up with another question, but I may see that answer next week. I am now satisfied with their communications, and continue to recommend their services.
@DShizzel Жыл бұрын
Another update on my SRRV application and C & G Consulting. They were late for their 2nd weekly update but did send me an update a couple of days later. Remember, they'd promised updates on Friday. However, it is understandable that they are going through growing pains due to the publicity this vlog has brought them. I have not yet received the third update, but I wrote them with the status of my apostille documents and some questions about how to fund the SRRV deposit and fee. Since my time in Manila will be limited before I proceed to Dumaguete, we are planning to fly to Cebu City the last week of January 2024 to do the NBI and Bureau of Quarantine paperwork, as well as to take photos for the ID card(s). Since they require photos with a white background as opposed to the US passport photos which are of a blue background, I've decided to take separate pictures, and I'll do that in Cebu. So far, I am still satisfied with the progress and guidance provided by C & G Consulting in Cebu.
