This guy has such a great humor. Loving every minute of every vlog of yours KD. ❣️Adapting to the philippine culture and a fluent bisaya speaker shows no barrier and could easily mingle with the locals which is more entertaining to watch your vlogs. Thank you for choosing 🇵🇭 as your home and showcasing the most remote places in the country which we deem dangerous. Truly a filipino by ❤️. Kudos to you brother KD! 👊

I’m envied by your farm trip on the remote places of the country not only exploring the vast land of our beloved Mindanao which is called The Land Of Promised but most importantly is your much fun intermingling with the locals. Those local kids just watching you having fun will remember you in their hearts forever. You are a Filipino by heart. I’m from northern Mindanao but never visited the southern part yet. I hope I can do it before I die . It’s my dream if having a farm anywhere in the country. Take care and God bless you!

Remember Kumander , You decide how your day is going to be, either by noticing the little things in details, like the sun providing the energy for the Kalamansi plants to grow, the laughter of the little children, and the many other numerous things of God’s provision. It is normal to feel the uncertainty of a New Year, especially after celebrating with your family, at Christmas! Enjoy the smallest details and let the rain roll off your shoulders just like it does on tin roofs! Life is good with the proper perspective!

iI have been growing Kalamansi in Central Florida since 1978. Through careful selective breeding, I was able to select almost seedless, 1 or 2 seeds every 10 fruits. also by careful selection and culling heavily My trees are all thornless, I use 6-6-6 fertilizer every 3 months, about 6 ounces, around 2 ft from main trunk, even if 10-10-10 seems less expensive, but some can cause burning on roots.I use Ironite every 6 months, maybe less in the Phils. I still have a few trees on my driveway. I am 84 years old, retired from 29 years of private medical practice.I am retired comfortably and have no intention of competeing. I communicat to exchange ideas. I had them analyzed - gave 72 mg of Vit C per 10 ml ofjuice. ( 1980 figures.) I get about 5,000 fruit for every tree annually.

The problem when you plant Calamansi in upland area is that, you can't harvest much during summer because it needs to be irrigated during summer to produce more fruit. No problem in rainy season when it comes to fruiting but the price per kilo is so cheap compare to summer season.

Your calamansi are growing fine together with the weeds around it. You got to control the weeds better because its taking in nutrients intended for the calamansi and it also brings the snails and other pest.
@KumanderDaot10 ай бұрын
Weeds are my eternal struggle and something we can't get perfect... The grass was only cut a few weeks ago, and we are ground weeding every month (the large circles)... Herbicide is not advisable for this age of crop so we have to accept that sometimes this is a difficult battle. I could cut the grass every two weeks but that would cost way too much! But at least we seem to be mostly on top of it 🙂
@linaf567510 ай бұрын
