The first trick, the floating card is actually the easiest one, it's tied with something behind your neck or the collar of the shirt with a very thin string that goes over your head, thats why whenever he looks up the card also goes up and when he looks down the card goes down. I bought one when i was a kid. The second part was actual skill though either the deck was arranged to get the same card or he had methods to get that card.

This is called a Svengali Deck. Basically some of the cards are shorter so riffling through it would not reveal the half of the deck that is all the same. A lot of vendors buy these cards in bulk for really cheap and sell trick decks for a fairly big markup as a living. They also learn fairly simple tricks in order to impress people to get them to buy the tricks. These people are very awesome

Its a very good trick i learnt back then, he made a gap using his hand skin (in his perspective where no one cant see the gap) when he opened the cards (in half), then him knowing where the card was because its just at the top of the bottom half of the deck. Then he put the half bottom shuffling in a order to put the card on the very top. The first guess is a gimic where when he showed it the chosen card was below it. Then he does it again, thats his card.
