Was told to visit this amazing bar/restaurant. It didn't let me down!!! Fantastic views and landscapes. Then add in great food and drinks.

Such a beautiful place, Britt! Question for you: If you were to encounter a stray piece of trash, would the local populace be receptive to you picking it up and disposing of it properly, or would they frown on you for "taking someone's job"? I understand that different cultures might see this situation differently, so I'm curious about the Philippines. Thanks!
@BrittMcalister7 күн бұрын
Good question. I wouldn't think anyone would care.
@timtarr93647 күн бұрын
Don't worry they're not gonna take somebody's job because people don't care you'll watch them walking down the sidewalk when you're done eating they just pitch their trash that's the way it is here you hardly find any trash cans anywhere let alone trash pick up most people burn

@Britt...Since you chose to base yourself in Cebu, it's high time to learn a few conversational Cebuano basic words, phrases when interacting with locals in shops, restaurants, and anywhere in Cebu and other Cebuano-speaking islands and provinces. Cebuano language is spoken in Central Visayas, parts of Negros Island (Negros Oriental), Siquijor and Eastern Visayas (Southern Leyte and parts of Leyte, Bohol and most of Mindanao provinces. When addressing a male person, use the word 'bai' which is a Cebuano term for 'friend', 'comrade', 'buddy' or 'pal'. You may use the Spanish form which is 'amigo' (if male) or 'amiga' (if female). 'Bai' can be used to address a close friend, a new acquaintance or even a complete stranger. Addressing a person 'bai' will certainly win their hearts and illicit a smile. Take note, Cebuano locals don't normally use 'kuya' and 'ate' as they're Tagalog words.

I thought it was about a 'bar' since that's what the title says, so I almost skipped over this video because I'm not interested in a 'bar'. The title is very misleading and you are losing views on this video because of it. Should be "Lakeview in Cebu with amazing views' or something like that. Excellent video.

"You just say 'como esta' and they're smiling at you." You are in their business. You are their bread and butter. You probably thinks waitresses like you because they're being so nice to you. No, they don't necessarily like you, they're doing their job. And asking people at work "How do you like working here?" is really boring. What are they going to say? THEY'RE AT WORK!
