Susie in the Philippines

Күн бұрын

We missed spending peaceful days sorrounded by the beauty of one of the many hidden gems of the Philippines. It was time to visit my favorite piece of paradise in our province, Nueva Ecija.
I can't get over the fact how amazing life is in the Philippines. To be able to just decide and be in such a beautiful place in no time is so special! Hard to believe that noone else was there! We got to spend the day sorrounded by beautiful forest views and a magical waterfall just all by ourselves.

My HomeTown. madalas kami maligo dyan nung Elem/HS pa ako, year '90s, nilalakad lang namin magmula sa Macdo, dumadaan kami sa SEAC, minsan liligo muna sa Dairy or Mag-Asawang Bato, then lalakad uli papuntang Falls.. my last visit was in mid 2013.. Makapasyal nga pag-uwi ko. 😎 #BitulokFalls #GabaldonFalls #Bitulok #Gabaldon #Sabani #BitulokSabani #SEAC

That's the advantage of living in the countryside. Except for privately-owned resorts, these nature spots are usually free and you can have the place all to yourselves, if you're lucky.

Philippines is so diverse in its surrounding - it is very hard to decide where to stay with your choice of isolated beaches to hidden water falls in the mountains. Always be careful traveling with your motor bike - looking forward to your next travel vlog 😊.

Oh…not a half-second on and I kind of knew what that drone shot was about. This episode took the words out of my mouth as we wanted to recommend you take a trip to one of the most stunning landscapes we've visited but quite some time ago now: Gabaldon! That beautiful and great eastern portion of the Pampanga River where Dupinga and Calabasa rivers are-Pampanga River's tributaries-at the foot of the great Siera Madre range (where Gabaldon is, at the foot of the western face of Mt. Sawi, part of the Sierra Madre. If one theoretically follows the river eastward, they end up in Aurora Province way north of Baler town). The great, smooth boulders and fantastic scenery from the ground is breathtaking. Oh how we miss it :) Thanks for this trip. *You could, @SusieinthePhilippines and Jonathan, truly explore Nueva Ecija (NE) before moving out-of-province nowadays. As it once was insurgency-infested (therefore had reputation as risk-prone, hardly visited) NE really has so much more to be explored although not by all; certainly not much by tourists unless they are ardent hikers or truly adventurous because of the province's expanse alone. It's become so much safer now of course, with a lot better road systems that has improved and continue to for travel and of people's lives. Well done, but we need to see more ;D PS. Find a way to check the majestic Philippine Eagles residing in Mt. Mingan and what the conservation project is up to (you can inquire from Haribon Philippines (FB or web); other more discoveries. Davao isn't the only place for these birds. Nueva Ecija has more endemic varieties, too. Waterfalls, other river systems-can't wait to explore with you guys.

12:50 a Shawarma restaurant in Nueva Ecija province, that tellls you the Pilipinos have come a long way from being isolated, no doubt this restaurant is probably owned by an OFW, if not, it's still a good influence.

I've always preferred the countryside just like you guys. I'd pick mountains and random waterfalls over busy well-lit streets and tall buildings. I enjoy your vlogs about simple rural life. Most especially whenever Pixel gets to enjoy the rivers and mountainside too. She has a big personality despite her cute size. ❤

Oooh the brand of veggie corn beef! We recently found & tried several offerings from this brand; my fave was the chicken- like canned chicken for cxn salad. I didn’t make cxn salad though, instead sautéed it kinda classic Phil way with garlic & onions & it was yummy. Wud be good in omelets. We disagreed over the luncheon meat, resembled spam. I like real meat spam but not this. & lastly the beef stew was ok. I think it was a beef stew formulation. I was very excited to find the brand, hadn’t seen it until recently. My first purchase was primarily to support Phil products & companies, but then I really enjoyed the chicken formulation. We’re not vegetarian, but it is a useful alternative, like now for Lenten Fridays. But now it hasn’t been restocked so we will see if I can find it again. I’m not fond of ordering food products online. I don’t love the brand name though, lol. Always leads me to think of “the undead”. NOT appetizing😆

P.s. wud luv to try the veggie corn beef. We luv corn beef. I never realized until I was an adult that it was part of my Phil heritage, lol. So many Filipinos grew up eating canned corn beef frequently as I did.

I'm glad you also enjoyed it! I've never seen the vegan chicken only the corned beef and spam! I used to love spam so I really enjoy this meat free version even if the texture is not exactly the same. Honestly I can't remember exactly how's the real thing so to me it's close enough haha Their frozen products are really good, too! They even have Hungarian sausage 😊

In the early 2000-2003 I had bf from Gabaldon(he is Ofw in Saudi) When we’re planning to go home together he said we go straight to Mindanao and he went for vacation a year ahead of our plan and cut-off communication for 1month while he is there, so I’m suspecting maybe he have wife and children. And that’s the end of our relation even though I don’t have solid evidence. And Thanks God after 10yrs from that uncertain relationship, I found again my best friend and childhood love of my life and married after a year. We will be celebrating our 10th year wedding anniversary in April In Shaa Allah(If God’s will)🎉

Always believe in the Divine PreDestination. The belief in Divine Predestination includes belief in four things: 1) God knows everything. He knows what has happened and what will happen. 2) God has recorded all that has happened and all that will happen. 3) Whatever God wills to happen happens, and whatever He wills not to happen does not happen. 4) God is the Creator of everything. And always Thanks God for Everything (the good times and the bad times) bcoz there are things that we love or like but it’s not good for us. And there are things that we don’t love or like but God knows that it is good for us. God is the best planner and knows best of everything.❤❤
