Not to hate... but why put up an Aussie accent?? I lived in Manchester for 12 years (basically since I was 3 yrs) but my accent remained. I lived with a filipino based household even though my dad is Polish (which served as another reason for me to have a British-Polish accent, but I don't) and my dad's nationality never became a hindrance to the way I spoke. I'm sorry if you get offended, I really didn't mean to sound hateful :(( I would just kinda like to see Filipinos being Filipinos without the usual _I live in *insert country* so I should have this accent_...

KEYCEE thanks so much for understanding! I'm just really sad about filipino kids completely forgetting their language and learning the international language instead... I just want (pure blood) Filipinos to never let go of their heritage because being a half makes it hard for me to be treated like a Filipino (because for some reason they act as if I'm some kind of foreigner, which I kinda am..) while the pure bloods _want_ to be treated like they're White/Caucasian. I hope kids now still notice the beautiful culture they have.. EDIT: I changed my name btw because it's been a long time....

Pines Universe Hey I've been living in England since I was 3 aswell and I'm turning 13 soon. I grew up in a filipino household and my parents had close filipino friends around. Also, I hang around english/white people so that mught be a reason why I have not got the filipino accent and more of a British. It just kind of happened without me noticing. How did you keep your filipino accent?
