Hi sir, may I know how you connect the game console to the discoverer tv? Thanks!!
@RetroUnboxingTV4 жыл бұрын
Hello Lim. Which console are you trying to connect my friend? If it's an older NES or Master System you can just plug the rfu plug in to the antennae socket at the back of the tv. However if you have a newer system with av leads (red/white/yellow) or HDMI you'll need to buy a seperate component. For av leads you will need to buy an AV to RF modulator/converter. For HDMI you'll need to buy a HDMI to RF modulator/converter. You can get these cheap on eBay and they are simple to connect just plug the gaming system in to the modulator and the modulator plugs in to the tv. Hope that helps 😊

Retro Unboxing thanks sir! Planning to connect famicom to the discoverer, reckon I just need a rf cable? Thanks sir for your reply and advice. Much appreciated! Cheers!
@RetroUnboxingTV4 жыл бұрын
Awesome, I think that Famicom and the NES are the perfect consoles to play on the discoverer. Yes the RF cable will work, in the video that is a Super Nintendo (Australian/pal Famicom) connected by RF. It worked great! Happy gaming Lim!! 😊

Hi Iam getting one of these TV's end of February, as this tv has no scart, how will I connect a Sega mega drive or SNES to this TV what's the process, can you make a short video on this thankyou.
@lovemadeinjapan2 ай бұрын
Just don't. Hook it up to a proper shitty RF output computer, like a C64, ZX Spectrum or Atari 2600. A low quality tube needs low quality consoles/computers.

Vorrei comprare questo modello di televisore, ne ho trovato uno online, il problema è che dopo trenta minuti di inattivita si spegne. Sapete dirmi se è normale?
@lovemadeinjapan2 ай бұрын
This is mostly a nice decor piece, but the TV itself is very humdum. It is from 1990, introduced in the Netherlands, so no eighties stuff here. The TV is a RF-input-only 2 watt single speaker mono TV (one grill is fake). Most models with the same tube got SCART RGB input, but not on this one. People pay crazy money for this, yet the average Philips Matchline you find second hand is the way superior product for less than half the money.
@snesfan89352 жыл бұрын
Does it have Scart at the back?
@lovemadeinjapan2 ай бұрын
Nope. RF only. Which is weird, as most small 14" models from Philips do have SCART RGB input, and this was kind of the "luxury" option back in the day.
@snesfan89352 ай бұрын
@@lovemadeinjapan Was scart a luxury option? I know another thing that all normal Euro TVs all had Scart with RGB function as standard.
@lovemadeinjapan2 ай бұрын
@@snesfan8935 No, the absence is weird as the helmet TV was a luxury model, while the basic ones, same tube, simple case, did have SCART.

How do you connect the console to the tv? Via what connection and where, picked one of these up and can see any connectors? Thanks
@fatmansbellybutton Жыл бұрын
The ones in the UK are RF only, I’ve seen some with AV input but think they’re Japanese. I might be way off the mark though.

I had one of these in the early '90's, until some 'SUMBAG' decided to brake into my house and stole it along with my 'Technics' HiFi set up, the loss of the TV and HiFi was about £1250, BUT the damage he did trying to get in was almost double that!
