Some clarification needed here, the heads are not the blades, it does not have three blades but many more. The rotary cutters have multiple blades which rotate within the heads and are removable for cleaning and even sharpening. If you look closely through the mesh you can make out the blades. I am basing my comments on a Philips shaver I used many years ago but I don't believe the principle has changed that much. Feel free to remove my comments if I'm wrong.

Thanks for the comment! You are right! We are not too precise with our words here. 3 Blade or shaving compartements is propably closer to what we meant.

You're just basically paying for bells and whistles. I've owned top of the range shavers and cheaper ones and basically they all give the same results. I would recommend Panasonic for closeness though...( And even then just a budget one)..
@wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein1953 ай бұрын
Yeah I think thats more or less true. We had the impression that the series 7000 and 9000 performed a tiny bit better but most of the times you pay for bells and whistles. We have to check the panasonic shavers yet, heard quite a bit of good stuff about those.

There seems to be a major omission. There are several different blades using anything from one to 3 rows of cutting blades. Surely the blade is the most important part of each shaver?
@wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein19511 күн бұрын
Yeah thats true of course. We talk abouth the lets call them "blade compartements" themselves but not on how these compartments look on the inside.

Can you recommend a model thanks easy to clean and for everyday simple dry shaving? Is Philips 7000 is the same as 7000 skiniQ? The cost is different
@wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein195Ай бұрын
If you want to shave as smooth as possible, I´d recomment either a OneBlade or a Braun Series 7 or 9. The Series 7000/9000 would also still be ok. Although its not as smooth. If you are the 3day beard kind of guy, i´d recommend a beardtrimmer of some sort. What kind of beard type are you? As far as I know the 7000 provides the SkinIQ technology. I didnt find different models in that regard?! Do you have links for me?

They call the 9000 "the world's most intelligent shaver powered by AI" which is an intelligence-insulting joke. I bought a 5000X recently for $50 USD recently, and I find it rrrreally hard to believe that paying $210 USD more for a 9000 would have been worth it. The only things I dislike about the 5000X are that it lacks a battery percentage indicator, and it requires a proprietary charging cord, rather than using USB-C, as it obviously should. I'd also caution people to avoid buying shavers with rubberized handles, as they turn _invariably_ to sticky goo after a few years.
@wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein1952 ай бұрын
Well, I think that stuff like this is often the case. Marketing-related, exaggerated statements are meant to create a sense of technological advancement. In the end, it's just a shaver though! And if you look at the core performance (shaving), I can only agree with you. It's not THAT much better than the lower series. Whether it's worth it though... that's something everyone has to decide for themselves.

Looks like you are showing the older 9000 Prestige, The new one has a pentagonal head like the 9000 you show. This head makes it more difficult to get close under nose. Also the older 9000 is metal new one plastic that looks like metal.
@wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein19525 күн бұрын
We have to check the new ones out then! Thanks for the heads up.
@OdinsCloud25 күн бұрын
@@wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein195 Still a good review! I have the new Prestige and the 9 Pro + Braun . I like them both for different reasons. Braun more comprehensive cleaning device / dryer uses alcohol based cleaner. seems to shave a bit closer and faster after a few days growth (3+). Phillips does well with longer growth too but not quite as good as Braun. I get a similarly close shave with the Phillips but it takes longer to achieve, not allowing more than 3 days growth and it risks a little more irritation but not bad. Have to turn Phillips 90° to get pentagonal cutter head support at it's narrow point of relief to cut closely under nose, a bit annoying... Phillips is quicker / easier to clean under faucet. Cleaning station is less active just cleans, no dry or charge but small form factor and nice smelling cleaning liquid IMO (non-Alcohol). No integrated trimmer have to swap heads which I wont do because i feel that it will add wear. So edge to Braun for closer shave, trimmer (pretty good not great) and more comprehensive cleaning station but the Phillips station has merits too. Braun has also has a charging case which I have become fond of. That's my run down, I wish they were metal like previous versions.

Check out our Braun comparison! The Series 7 and 9 Pro provided better results in their core performance. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGqxpKKAasmUgdU Or a OneBlade. The new 360 models are a bit more comfortable than the standard OneBlade models. Those provide really good shaving results as well. We are still in the process of doing our 360 review. I kinda get where you are coming from. We havn´t found an electric razor yet that could really compete with a wet razor. There are some that do get pretty close though. I think the USP of these kind of appliances is the comfort itself. It depents on your preferences as well of course. You should look for something else if you want a smooth shave above all.
