I just bought this thing and set it up and connected an 8K hdmi cable to it. It will not go over 120hz. No idea why. Video card is directly connect to it and its a RTX 3070 ti. Updated nvidia graphics driver. Not able to find a driver for the monitor itself anywhere. Does anyone know why this is not going to 144hz? This is driving me nuts. Checked all nvidia control panel settings, display settings, tried lowering it to lower resolutions and then seeing if 144hz would show up. It doesn't no luck. I have several HDMI 2.0 cables and the 8k cable. *UPDATE*: I finally figured it out. You have to force it to go to 144hz using the button on the back of the monitor > Refresh Rate > 144hz

How are you getting on with the 3070TI performance at 4K and can you play downscaled. I have a 3070 ti and not sure it has enough power for this?

I bought one to use with Xbox series X. It works great. The mounting point doesn't fit the bracket on my driving sim rig, so duct tape to the rescue. Is there an adaptor to allow wall mounting these?

Is the backlight bleed bad? The dude in the video mentioned that it's not bad but to me it looks terrible from what I can see in this video, what do you think?

I have owned the 27-inch version 27M1F5800 of this monitor for about a year. And I am very happy with the monitor. The highlights are probably the great colours, the ergonomics and the connections. I didn't have to adjust anything after unpacking my model - it had a fantastic picture out of the box. Of course, it also has a few disadvantages such as the lack of a USB C port and no KVM. And of course it has the typical IPS bleeding. Nevertheless, I have now ordered the 32-inch version for €549 on offer.

Im gonna order the 32” how is it?
@joeblackisback1Ай бұрын
@@marcust123 It is of course much bigger. But what is immediately noticeable are the colours. The 32 inch doesn't have quite as beautiful colours, but they are still very good. I think it's because the 27 inch has a Nano IPS display and the 32 inch doesn't. But otherwise a really very good monitor.

Gigabyte M32U has 10 bit of colour from 8bit native +2 bit FRC(Frame Rate Control) in other words it looks like you see 1.07 billion colours from 10 bit but is a mimic ON the other hand the this Philips has native 10 bit of colour, that means all 1.07 bil colours and no tricks.

Any idea how the Philips compares to something like the LG 27GN950 (or GP950, or any of the 95R variants, all the same monitor really with the same panel) when it comes to reflections and glare handling? I had the GN950 and had to return it due to how badly it handled glare even in moderately dark environment, and I suspect the Philips might actually be using the same panel, which would mean the same issues... Thanks.

12:03 no Low Framerate Compensation below 60fps? I thought that's always included with official Gsync compatible monitor? So that (occasionally) < 60fps is not a problem. A also do photography as a hobby, and sometimes do prints as well. Is the blue color really a problem witht his monitor? Like (calibrated) blue on monitor results in totally other shade of blue on photo prints.

This monitor has DisplayHDR 400 certification, which means it is a fake HDR monitor. Peak brightness of 500 nits for IPS monitor does not cut the mustard for real HDR experience. For this price, any high-speced monitor needs to have VESA's DisplayHDR 1000 certificate, at minimum. Also, why is it that monitor makers do not install DisplayPort 2.0 ports? Intel and AMD graphics cards will feature 40 Gbps and 80 Gbps DP ports later this year, which should inspire monitors makers to finally move onto DP 2.0. We should really expect more from expensive monitors, which have a long way to go to catch up with image quality of 4K TVs.

Finalyl proper HDMI 2.1 ports. Don't get the manufacturers that release a high refresh rate panel which is crippled by it's input ports.
@armen11362 жыл бұрын
The LG 32GQ950 also has proper HDMI 2.1, and probably the implementation of it I've seen so far on a monitor. Only downside to the LG is that it doesn't have auto input switching.

In the real world Dom what is going to respond faster? A normal OLED panel with a 60hz connection or a LED with 144hz as the OLED won't overshoot hardly at all.
@KitGuruTech2 жыл бұрын
In terms of measured response times, OLED will be faster, usually around the 1ms mark. However, at 60Hz due to the 'sample and hold' nature of OLED, you'd probably get better motion clarity from a 144Hz LCD (assuming it's a decent enough panel.)
