Have this trimmer & loved it. Although it died on me 2 months out of warranty. Great for traveling with a single attachment, just be aware the steel comb isn't as comfortable on body hair. And you're limited to the maximum 10mm setting. Where others have larger attachments for different lengths.

Sorry that you had to experience the loss of your shaver. This shaver is only meant for your beard you cannot really use it on your body as you mentioned or your head as I demonstrated in the video very uncomfortable check out my latest video regarding the 7000 series. I recently bought this one and it’s been going okay I will do a second review in a few weeks thanks for watching the video.

this would be perfect for me if it would allow a completly clean shave. Im starting to hate my oneblade pro bc its so cheap and weak but i need its chlean shave

I've had this for a while now because of the good reviews it got but I'm not that impressed mainly because of the metal glider as its awkward and doesn't glide to well and leaves quite a few stray hairs so you have to go over the same spot quite a few times. The length dial would have been better if it was an up and down dial as this seems more ergonomic for your thumb. I'm literally on the hunt for an alternative hopefully one that's better value.

I mentioned exactly what you are talking about around 7:59 min in the video and did a shaving test and comparing it to the cheaper Philips beard trimmer 3000. A little before 7:59 I talk about this guard being a problem. For a much cheaper option. I am still using the Remington in my recent video in combination with the Phillips 9000. Although the Remington is a bit underpowered it still does a pretty good job and doesn’t cost much but that’s just my opinion and experience. watch the video as I do a shaving test there too and you can decide if this is something for you. I wouldn’t say “water proof”… water resistant maybe. The blades are water proof, but avoid water on the battery handle. The blades will last longer after you wash them in water, dunk them in alcohol to remove excess water. Your blades will last longer and you should oil the blades at least once a month if not more. You can use regular mineral oil if need be. I use Ballistol which is basically mineral oil that doesn’t have chemicals that degrade rubber or plastic

Don’t get the 9000 prestige. It’s more for beard trim and head hair cuts or trims. Get the 9000-multi grooming kit… there’s a big difference. You get the regular blade, body grooming blade and also the T-blade for closer edging and beard shaping. The 9000-Prestige with the built in guard isn’t that good compared to the 9000-multi groomer.

@@RandomReviewer27 the 9000 prestige is for face and hair only. It’s not meant to be used below your neck… your chest etc. I just got the multi groom 9000 that comes with way more attachments. You get 3 separate blades in that kit for the face… regular, T-blade for lines and closer shaved and fine detail blade. I think you probably would’ve preferred that. Also, don’t rinse the razor in water… the attachments are fine as long as you dry them. I know mine says “wet/dry” but there’s no way I’m taking it in the shower. It is I’ll eventually fail… could be 2/months or 2/years but it will fail. Just use the included brush or better yet and old tooth brush like you showed 👍

Its not for me as I want to maintain a medium beard with has the length longer than 10mm.

1st they recommended it is not for hair. Second it is a bit awkward with the metal guard. It’s not going to blowup if you do use it on head hair but it might be uncomfortable.

Honestly, I don’t know why they made this 9000-Prestige model and the 9000-Multi groomer? The 9000-multi groomer give you more options and a closer shave. You can tell the difference because the 9000 multi groomer doesn’t have a built in guard and has way more attachments. Same battery life at 6/hrs on a full charge but the attachments are way better on the 9000-multi groomer I think.

It comes with a little bottle of oil, it also has an indicator light when oil is required. I have only seen this light on once.

Basically yes. Great build quality on the 9000 but the shaving not so great. There are many cheaper shavers that do a better job. I have two other videos of some cheaper shavers that do not get much views that do better than the 9000. I felt let down at the limitation of the 9000 for the price.
