Grew up at tim hortons my parents owned three stores and i worked and managed for a while. Used to be so awesome and chill my mom always told me. Then they took away bakers baking the donuts in store for mass produced donuts. A few owneres sued and won the lawsuits for loss of profits. That was the first downfall. Then merged with wendys became more corporate. And 7 or so hears ago was bought by rbi the biggest food company in the world. They used to want to bring new owners in now they want mass owners. My parents with 3 stores were small owners when that was the norm years ago.

I started seeing Tim Horton's coffee on shelves at the various vig box grocery stores around town sometime last year. And as an American in my specific state, I never even heard of TH, nor know what it primarily is or does as a business. I assumed they're just a coffee manufacturing company. Perhaps other states have TH (?) Anyway, when I first saw the TH coffee products, the first thing that came to mind eas the fictional generic brand "Horton's" for everything from sodas, to snack foods from the old/satirical "If ____ Ads Were Honest" videos from Cracked-or maybe it was College Humor-where the host (Roger), speaks about the various products and their advertising in a funny, yet blunt and cynical manner. Seriously, I thought to myself "Did they _really_ create an ACTUAL company based off of 'Horton's'?? I wonder if _their_ advertisements and products are honest". Then I realized they weren't the same, and I felt like a dummy 😂

I recently had Timmy’s at the airport and it was pretty good other then the egg I didn’t ask for on my bacon and sausage, English muffin. The sprinkled donut I had was good as well. Mind you I haven’t eaten there for around 5-6 years.
