Topper needs to light a fire under their *&^@(*, especially the top four in the lineup. Their batting and hustle has been anemic! They don't have any passion or energy and are just plain listless out there. The Phillies have over a half billion in salary swinging at changeups in the dirt, eye-high fastballs and grounding into double plays at every at bat. From an art historical standpoint, I find it significant that the producers of these videos choose to show the umpires inspecting the hands of the starting pitchers. To the casual viewer these may seem like mere overflow images from the previous inning's highlights, but there is no reason these couldn't be cut out (the same way they don't show all the other players leaving the field) but for the fact that MLB wants to emphasize that they are enforcing this rule.
