Glad I found your video. I was told ignition 1 was back left. Watched your video to get an idea what I was getting into and glad I did. I would have been checking the wrong ignition.

wonderful video. I had NEVER considered the negative aspects of not having fuel wash the backsides of the valves....... I'll try to make sure and not get any direct injection engines. Thanks for the video...trying to help a friend troubleshoot his 2017 3.6L GMC Canyon with a cyinder misfire code P0302

8:37 looks like a crack or split in hose.

@davidakkerman9437 that's the PCV fresh air hosed and that's just a sponge insulation on the pipe that's cracked. Won't affect anything.

@PhillipBailey I noticed that after video went on. Felt foolish, but figured it was possibly a corregated hose that was protected or foam over a rubber hose. At any rate, it stood out. Thanks.

So nothing conclusive on the intermittent misfire? I was expecting to see a damaged wire or maybe some spark escaping between the coil and the plug. I suspect that you didn't see any oil leaking from the valve cover gasket that may have deteriorated the coil/plug boots? Intermittent issues are such a pain.

The miss was caused by the carbon fouled plugs and agrivated by the intake valve carbon deposits.

Many sources put the torque on the plugs at 13 ft-lbs.
