Hi. Great video. I just wanted to voice my opinion about Phillips. Although they have great seafood options, their crabs/ crabmeat do not come from Maryland. They are sourced elsewhere. And being a Baltimore native, it makes a HUGE difference in taste. Yes, we are famous for our blue crabs, but you won’t find them at Phillips. I don’t think tourists realize this fact. Anyway, just sharing this information. If I were to suggest a great seafood restaurant with Maryland blue crabs or crab cakes, it would be MO’s Seafood restaurant in Towson, MD. They have other locations, but Towson is the best. They are authentic, and serve HUGE portions!

It would have been nice to see a sample of the menu (s). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That’s the suggestion. I’ll have to remember that next time.

Unfortunately, the son that took over the family business completely destroyed it ... and its history. He is focused on small airport locations and overseas locations (in addition to the commercially available frozen food line -- which are horrible). Having lived on the eastern shore, I used to go to Phillip's in O.C. frequently. The seafood buffet was amazinf at both the north and original south end locations. The son tried a pop-up strip mall location and even a "fine dining" location in Rockville, MD (that both failed). It was such a waste of family history, tradition and a great seafood experience after he took over. I was close with the staff in O.C. and they disliked the son very much when he took over.

That is a shame. I used to go to the one in Baltimore and DC for my birthdays and special occasions. It’s sad what has happened to the franchise.
