You came up in my recommended, and after this video using practically no carbs, you've got a brand new sub! I'm 76 and try to cut out as many carbs as I can. I try to make them as low carb as I can. Sometimes, I do no sugar, low sugar, gluten free, and low carb.. gluten free doesn’t always mean liw carb. I try for a good balance..You will hardly ever see me use much sugar or gluten..thanks for your comments 🌹🌹

It’s called “ velvetizing” the meat. Ever notice how tender the meat is in Chinese dishes? Also, put the steak in the freezer for 30 min and it will cut easier. This looks great! Going to try it!

@grammarosesopenpantry2729 you use about a teaspoon of baking soda per pound of meat after it has been thinly cut against the grain. Let soak for 20 minutes to an hour in a glass or plastic bowl/dish or zipper bag but not in a metal bowl. Rinse off and pat dry with paper towels. Quick fry or stir fry. It will be melt in your mouth tender. Excellent for cheaper less tender cuts of meat.

I use Steak-umm, it's very thin but makes a good amount. It's frozen and you just break it up into a fry pan, it separates as you stir & cook. Very good & easy to cook up. I usually make it for quasadias, ( I'm sure I misspelled that, lol sorry).

The baking soda works so great! I've done it with chicken and I also use it for my backstrap. I marinate my backstrap overnight and then rinse it, dry it well and then dredge it as one would for their favorite recipe. The chicken, about 30 minutes. If you've ever had Chinese takeout and got any protein that was super tender and enjoyed it, you’ll love that quick method of tendering.

I love everyone's interpretation of Philly Cheese Steak. I was fortunate enough several years ago to eat at a deli owned by a man from Philadelphia who made authentic Cheese Steak sandwiches. They were served on a hoagie roll and the meat was finely minced steak with CheezeWiz. I don't recall peppers or onions but the sandwich was delicious and filling.

Grammar Rose, wanted to share that I made your Philly Steak Casserole today with a few substitutions and it was so tasty. I substituted 1.5 packages of "Steakum" steak. I am dairy free as well as gluten free so I used dairy free cream cheese. For the heavy cream I substituted Coconut Cream. I also used vegan mozzarella cheese and vegan cheddar. Prepared the casserole per your instructions and it came out fantastic! Thank you. Love watching you and I love the interaction with your hubby too! God Bless you both.

It is much easier to cut the meat in thin strips if it is partially frozen. Also using a little cornstarch on the n m eat after it it s sliced us tenderizing. So as not to be a know-it-all, thank you for this recipe. Not like anything I’ve done before and I will be trying it.

I use cornstarch, a little salt & a little water, massage it all into the meat and you will have very tender meat!! This process is called “Velveting” and is used in Asian Restaurants. This is also very good for chicken pieces. Try it!!
