@Jake Green Doing the time isn't the subject of discussion here. They are going to do the time regardless. Humane treatment is what this is about. They refuse to allow inmates access to anything to treat themselves and will not let them see doctors most of the time. I've seen guys on the edge of death from withdrawal after being refused their prescribed medications. Even POW's get medical treatment.

I worked in the medical wing in Kentucky while locked up, and I've seen SO many people with legitimate life threatening conditions and issues, get mistreated by medical, or totally denied medical attention from the CO'S or medical. My aunts friend was denied treatment for a toothache, and she ended up getting released out of nowhere one day with no explanation. About a week later, she went into septic shock, and a 3 month long coma. When she woke up, her arms and legs were amputated at the knee and elbow. Although she did get a $3m settlement, nobody was held legally responsible.
