Hershel’s East Side Deli in the Reading Terminal Market is phenomenal. Love that place. Either the turkey, pastrami, corn beef, brisket - you name it - they do it right and it’s all carved and fresh - will not dissappoint🥪

The chicken cutlet only became a thing when veal got too expensive and all the Italian moms switched to chicken. We never ever had chicken cutlets until probably the mid 70s. Then we never saw veal cutlets again. And chicken cutlets weren’t on restaurant menus either.

@@JuliaGonzalesTravels But I did have an aunt who used to make pork cutlets, likely because pork was cheaper than veal and there was no such thing yet as chicken cutlets back then.

Philadelphia is known for its cheese steaks. However they are also known for the amazing sandwiches. And you have to grab a bag of Herr's potato chips as well.

I love Herr's too, I also love Unique Pretzel out of Reading, PA.

You have to do a scrapple, egg, and cheese on a Kaiser roll to get your morning started right!

@@JuliaGonzalesTravels DiNic’s and John’s Roast Pork are both top of the list. I just don’t like John’s for steaks because they use the same roll they use for pork. Too chewy for a steak, perfect for wet pork.

Angus beef is a "Breed" of cattle, not a cut of meat Julia. "Ribeye" could be from the Longhorn breed, or Wagyu breed or Black Angus breed etc.
