@@engr998 Halloween is my favorite holiday, with Christmas behind it. I absolutely love Kringle Halloween, but the spell candles are not something I want to mess with. To each their own. Wish the Conjuring Spells and the money candle were in a different form (those scent notes speak to me). Maybe they will bring them back in Halloween Country jars next year (minus the spells).

I can’t get over how beautiful the jars and labels are on the Kringle candles. I wish so much that Spirit’s call scent notes were in one of the Kringle jars. Don’t get me wrong, I like the vessel it’s in but I just love those Kringle jars. Even a witchy scent in one of the Kringle’s would be amazing.

I LOVE the matte ombré finish on these jars. However this sale goes I hope they continue the ombré finish on a Halloween line. The scent notes don’t seem to be popular from what I’m seeing. I hope they don’t discontinue the ombré matte finish if these scents don’t sell well.

Mick seems super into playing with different levels of translucency with the jars, and with painting on the glass, so I think we can hope for another chance at ombre in the future. I agree that it's a really cool look!

Ohhh Tuberose!! Even if that tuberose candle isn’t spooky if you pair it with another Halloween candle, it would just bring it to another level! Tuberose can be done in a spooky way .

These might not be wicked spells but maybe healing and peace haha but I don’t really know. I’m just staying safe and stick to the 1st release which is awesome!! Same! That collection seems well-thought-out and fun to me. They're aimed at people who do Halloween/witchy stuff year-round rather than people who want it just for a novelty in October, and the removable crystals are the kind of thing I expect at the $34 price point. It's a limited edition collection aimed at a limited audience, rather than yet another general-audience release that's only limited for collector's value.

I am sick at heart that dungeon didn't come back this year. I only have one left and now I'm afraid to burn it. These art jars are gorgeous, but they need halloween scents, not frou-frou floral!! Overall I have to say I'm disappointed this year.

Burn it! I saved an extra Haunted House from year 1 of the Black Jars it was so strong. Finally burned it last fall and it was so weak in comparison to the original. These soy wax candles do not hold their intensity like paraffin does.

I wish you could choose your scent and then what label you want to go on it. For some, I want the scent but not the label and vice versa. Like the one with ghosts in the woods should smell woody and/or smoky, not like rain. But that’s just me. Black Cat on Pumpkin is a must.

Lol, right? I sometimes consider just printing out a picture I like and taping it over a different label, but I would want to be sure it was heat-resistant tape, and by the time I've thought that far, it seems like too much work.

Hi Brett - Thanks for the update on the 2nd launch of Kringle's candles. I really only like the Black Cat on Pumpkin one because of the scent notes and image on the jar. I'll hold off on the Spellbound collection as I don't want to, possibly, invite that kind of stuff in my home. That's just me. I have ordered candles from small batch companies on Etsy which have had crystals on the top of them. They recommend removing them before burning. I am so glad I purchased 3 candles from the first launch the other night, and am looking forward to receiving them. Thanks for all you do.

I’m sticking with the original Kringle Halloween jars/ scents. I’ve only bought 2 CC since Kringle started making them which was the purple waxed Witches Cauldron cause I missed that scent in the Kringle jar. The only new CC scent I’d be interested in in is the skull & snake one. I like Halloween scents & not a fan of florals. Give me Witches Cauldron, Witching Hour, Cemetery Lane, Graveyard Night, Sleepy Hollow, 7 Days etc. I’ll buy any day!!!

Thanks for the preview! I have to agree with many of the others, I don’t think this second release is for me. I’m not interested in the Witch’s spell candles, and - although I think the labels are beautiful - I don’t know that I can handle so many florals for the artistic line. I’ll at least pick up a couple of the kitty cat jars (one to burn and one for my daughter who loves cats). I might get the one with the ghosts and pumpkins label just because I like that picture so much, but not sure since I spent so much on the first round. I’m a little curious as to what the mindset behind this year’s releases were. All of the candles are geared toward the uber Halloween enthusiast. Compare that to last year, for example, you had the main Kringle 2 wick releases (my favorites). They’re always a little on the intense side and definitely not up everyone’s alley, which is part of what makes them so interesting. You then had the 3-wicks that were more on the fun and cutesy side and provided something for those who don’t necessarily want a “scary” Halloween experience. I still think my favorite round was year before last. All of those labels were amazing, and I was very pleased with the ones I was able to get. The glow-in-the-dark accents on some of them were a really fun touch!

The black cat sitting on the jack-o-lantern is reminiscent of one of my favorite Victorian postcards (which is a black cat sitting inside a jack-o-lantern) but these collections, in particular "Spellbound," are a hard pass. Thanks for sharing.

The reserve candle Night Bloom had a jasmine/tuberose that skewed GRAPE to me. Much like the perfume Poison. Not a fan of grapey tuberose/jasmine. Is the tuberose in the witch candle a similar scent to Night Bloom?

The concept with the spellbound collection is cool but not going to lie, slightly disappointed in the scent notes -not a floral person at all but I’m happy for people that do love those scents. I may get the Smokey pumpkin one , as that seems like the only semi spooky one. The artwork labels are really cool, especially the ghost with pumpkins but again, the scent notes are just not my thing. I am also getting DW vibes with the spellbound collection and crystals inside, but I’m sure Kringle’s ones are way better. I guess I was hoping for the clear glass with colored wax but I’m still excited for the 2nd launch , but only getting 1-2 due to the scent notes not being very Halloween 😢

I definitely was hoping for the full on Country Candle colored paraffin wax experience too! Oh, well. I do appreciate the creativity and inventiveness that Kringle always brings. I've got zero interest with the Spellbound thing unfortunately, but I can 100% commiserate with you on the florals. Certain florals have been sneaking their way into my appreciation in spookier contexts which I've been surprised by lol. 🦇

I’m always happy they are not afraid to explore new and creative ways to bring us Halloween. I cannot be mad about that . Florals just always take me to spring and summer , but I guess if used right can bring a somewhat spooky experience. IDK it’s my least favorite scent note 😩 I don’t think I may buy any from the 2nd launch, I already bought some from their 1st launch and bought some Beetlejuice from GC today plus still waiting on GCs other halloween to drop so I am good. My local "New Age'y" gift shop sells gemstone candles, and they say it is safe it the actual fire does not engulf the stone. Even Big Lots has some candles this Halloween with stones in them, so it must be a big trend.

It's not safe, but it's widely done anyway, and usually nothing bad happens. I think it's one of those things like eating raw cookie dough, where the risk is real, and there are documented bad outcomes, but the reward is also real, and the bad outcomes are rare enough that people either don't believe in them, or think the risk is worth it. I'd take the crystals out, but I think leaving them in is a valid life choice.

The scents of the first two of the Spellbound candles you reviewed sound amazing. I wish the artwork on these were more reflective of Halloween though. I do not believe in hocus Pocus of any kind so I will definitely give these two a try. 😂 The artist collection doesn’t interest me at all. I love florals but not for Halloween. I also find the AI artwork on those very dull and boring.

I think those who already used their discretionary funds on the first round of candles won’t be disappointed if they are fans of Halloween scents. Aside from the lame titles printed on them, the artwork collection labels are nice, but the floral-centric scent profiles turn me off. These candles would be nice for those who live spooky lives year round.

I totally agree with most of these comments! Kringle is known for their awesome Halloween launches, but they have went dark with it now n this crap shouldn't be messed with, imo! First it was Carnage, a bloody knife scent n now spells! Idk about that! That isn't anything to play around with! I do luv the black cat on the pumpkin n the scent sounds great n the labels are beautiful! I also like the witch one too, but not the scent tho! I can't do florals at all! I like the more old school cutesy Halloween like from 2 years ago n was hoping to see some 3 wicks as well! Idk, I just hope that the people who do order the spell candles are very careful because inviting that crap in ur home can be a very scary thing, imo! To each their own! Tip: if u write a review for a candle that u purchased, sometimes they will send u a 25% off coupon to use on full priced items in ur email! That's wat I did n it saved me some extra money! 🎃

The witch cauldron ones are a no from me. Even if I like the sent notes, it’s the fact that they put actual spells on the candles and stones in them that’s an immediate no from me. People shouldn’t dabble in witchcraft and that spiritually dark stuff. It’s not a joke. I hope those who pick them up end up being careful. Don’t open a door when you don’t know what’s coming through it.

I'm Wiccan, and those magic candles are not "real", and are probably for the Harry Potter-type fans. Although the fragrances sound pleasant, the ingredients are off in all the Spellbound collection , at least based on actual folk magic traditions,. The spell chants are more out of Charmed or Bewitched. It is really just a expensive Halloween decoration, with the real problem being that you spent over $30. Things like these candle are only a concern if the candle owner thinks they are,

Disappointed in Kringle for making spell candles. That stuff is real and should not be messed around with. I really enjoy their Halloween candles but they’re overstepping a line that should not be crossed and people will be opening spiritual doors that should stay closed.

I’m glad you said that. I 100% agree. It is real and the demonic realm love that you think it’s “fun” or “cute” or “not harmful”. I love candles but also do deliverance ministry. Yes, demons are real and they ruin your life. So having “actual spells” on the candle invites good (at first, they expose as ‘light’) and then you’re trapped and no more light. I pray people wise up to this reality.

It reminds me of vintage Halloween images I’ve seen. I remember Yankee used to have vintage type artwork on Halloween candle labels years ago. I love autumn baking spice fragrances. Is the white pumpkin detectable in the fragrance?
