I put 0 stock in any rumors about Sirianni's job security. He has never had a losing season with the birds, has taken us to the playoffs multiple times, and even got us back to the super bowl 5 years after our first win. He has one of the highest winning percentages of all time and is universally beloved by the players. Yeah, he pisses us off from time to time, but nothing that even suggests his job is on the line. These are painfully stupid rumors by members of the media trying to drum up engagement.

NFL history has shown that no Coach-Starting QB tandem has ever gone more than 5 years together without winning a Super Bowl. Tony Dungy and Peyton Manning took 5 years. Chuck Knoll and Terry Bradshaw won together in Bradshaw's 5th season, but Bradshaw wasn't the starting QB his rookie season. Time is Running out fast for the Sirianni Hurts combination to win a Super Bowl together. One them will not be here after next season if they don't win a Super Bowl by then.

I been back and forth on Barkley because I would really love to see him get the record. With that said I do think we will dominate with a rest. I know the Oline would like to have it and Jalen isn’t playing anyway and AJ and Smitty need a rest too. So in the end I’m fine with whatever decision they make. Definitely sign Baun! I hope so…would be the right thing to do. People say we might diminish chances of winning the super bowl if he gets injured but I think the chance of that is pretty low. OTOH, the chance of him breaking the record is pretty high and I think doing that will probably energize him and the team and might actually improve the odds that we bring home the trophy this year.
