2 years ago my parents called me and my brothers and told us to get all of our things out of their basement. I grabbed everything my brothers were throwing in the trash. I found a Bible that was rare and sold it for $375 on eBay. I probably made another $400 off of their trash

Well done on the books. I used to sell antiquarian books and it was always exciting…now along with my specialist Arts and Crafts shops I still have a few highly specialised individual books ..they are beautiful and interesting

I first started reading Nancy Drew books over 55 years ago. I did not realize that "Carolyn Keene" was a psuedonym for over 10 writers, male and female, who kept the series going. I quit reading at book number 43, The Mystery of the 99 Steps, because I thought it was the last book. Ha! And little did I know what value the books would have now (most of mine were checked out from the library, I don't know what happened to the few I actually owned). Congratulations on find. And yes, books are valuable in oh so many ways.

What a find! Brings back memories of reading all of my neighbor's Nancy Drew books one summer. You obviously didn't know what you had (and now the rest of us know what to look for), so you certainly didn't rip her off. Please don't take the haters to heart - you paid her asking price without knowing of there was any value at all to the books, and then were nice enough to go back and offer her more $$ when you didn't have to... Hopefully she calls you back and you can make a deal on the rest of the books. You had me laughing when you were playing that piano with the meows. I’ve noticed a lot of resellers walk past stacks of DVD’s. I always take a few minutes to go through them properly, as I find a few bolo titles. Most recently I found a Digimon movie and a sealed vomit gore trilogy dvd. There’s also DVD’s seasoned resellers would walk past not knowing their value. It’s a great category to study, and still plenty of bolo’s out in the wild. I can’t help but notice you wandered into the last sale past the box and didn’t even look at the tables full of stuff, but instead walk back and zero in on the box which was pretty unassuming looking. ???
