I have this plant put it in my back porch early summer late spring and a squirrel came and destroyed it. I tried to salvage the trunk and maybe two leaves but it came back the next day and finished the job. I took a leaf with a piece of the trunk that was on the floor of the porch in water and now I have a few leaves but now they are terrarium small. I still have hope once I pot it up. Maybe in the spring. Wish me luck over the winter.

B.A. Ratcliff, Squirrels can be a nuisance, for sure. I wish you luck. I think you'll be able to get a small plant and start again.

Glad to hear they are slow growing. I have had mine for about a year and have only seen minimal growth. I thought I was doing something wrong or not doing enough. It looks like we are on track after all.

Hi .. I have Birkin plant for the last 2 weeks and I see the leaves curling upward, like a cup. Any reasons for this behaviour?
@HealthyHouseplants Жыл бұрын
@shilpisaxena6030, How is the plant doing now? Leaf curling can indicate a number of things that you will want to check out. 1) Temperature stress-swings in temperature. Generally, the plant has gotten too hot. 2) Watering issues--too much or not enough. 3) Fertilizer burn at the root zone, which will cause the leaves to curl--so if you fertilized around the time the leaves started curling that could be the issue. 4) Can sometimes be a virus.

So you place the moisture meter only 1"? Not all the way to the bottom?
@HealthyHouseplants6 ай бұрын
@mshellothere100, You want to insert the moisture meter at various levels. Here is a video on the topic for more info: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2bOepeJaquFhcU
