You did a great job showing the details of where to cut and where the new growth will come from!

I am a new subscriber and I like the simple advice and methods that you use. Yes I also pin the long stems of my philodendron mican and it produced a much fuller plant. You will see the difference in about a month or so depending on the growth season.. Your plant will be much fuller. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for subscribing....I really appreciate it and thanks so much for the advice! I will be staking these up to grow very soon!

It works i did this method with my ce blue philodendron and it's thick and thriving 😍 💙

Awesome!

Try bobby pins! :) you can bend them to be wide enough to not pinch the stem or just find wider pins. You can get like 100 for $1-2

Woo hoo! I’ve recently pinned a rooted cutting I bought to hopefully speed up growing and get a nice lush plant! Happy to see I did it right, thank you!
@EverythingPlants5 жыл бұрын
I've never done this as well, so this is bit of an experiment. Those aerial roots should extend into the soil and hopefully promote new growth in that area. Let me know how yours works out. Thanks for watching and hope to see you back soon!

Hi! Friend I’m new here and happened to see your video of propagation . I love propagating cutting from my plants . I buy my propagation vase from thrifting they nice and perfectly fits into my budget . Great tips in propagation .
@EverythingPlants5 жыл бұрын
Hello and welcome! I usually just use whatever I find around the house for propagation containers. I thought I'd purchase something nice this time lol. Which plants do you propagate?
@JustMyra5 жыл бұрын
I pretty much propagate plants that I know it’s easy to propagate from begonia, pothos, philodendron and spider plants and monstera. Hoya’s I find them hard and tricky to propagate . I will try again sometimes.

I couldn’t find this plant anywhere! Turns out my aunt have one and she propagated it and has a bunch now. I just got some cuttings from her two days ago.
@EverythingPlants5 жыл бұрын
That's awesome! This is one of my favourite plants in my collection. Are you cuttings rooted?
@gabyalva34785 жыл бұрын
Everything Plants some of the cuttings already had long roots so I put them in water and they seem to be doing good. She said I can go for more if I want lol. I’m looking for a peperomia prostrata
@EverythingPlants5 жыл бұрын
Prostrata....another awesome plant. Is this a hard plant to find where you live? I don't see it here in my city very often.

Hi ,ilove the way you pinned the rooted cutting in the soil, I would like to know did you see new growth and how long did it actually took to see growth. I did buy some rooted cuttings and planted in soil a month ago and one leaf started droopy and I took it out of soil and it root rotted!!! Can I still save the leaf any help
@EverythingPlants4 жыл бұрын
I did get lots of new growth on the plant, but I didn't see anything where it was pinned into the soil. This plant is now gone....found thrips on it. I gave it away to another plant friend to try and save. It is hard to tell if that micans can be saved without seeing a picture. Feel free to send a picture on Instagram messenger.

Hello from Australia! Came across your propagation video! How did the pinning roots turned out? I don't wanna cut mine off as I love the cascading look but would love more bushy on the top!

Hello and thanks for commenting. I haven't noticed any new growth or rooting from the pinned area. I was really hoping this would work, but so far unsuccessful.

Once you take your cuttings from a vine does is that the end of that vine or will it eventually keep growing?
@EverythingPlants3 жыл бұрын
It will start a new vine from the closest node to where you cut.

Hi! Love the video and philodendron micans is one of my dream plants! Wanted to ask where you found those little plastic stakes. Thanks!
@EverythingPlants5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. The micans are one of my favourites too! Those little stakes are actually garden soft ties. I just cut them to size and made them into that form. It worked out good actually.

Thank you for this video. Your plants look amazing! Can you help me with mine? It has been doing great except for small leaves. I’d like to get them larger and thought maybe it needed to grow up a pole? Recently I’ve put it under a grow light. Thank you in advance for any ideas!!! 💚
@EverythingPlants5 жыл бұрын
I'm going to say it is probably not getting enough light. Mine is in a west facing window and has been growing like crazy in this spot. Sometimes a west facing window can be too harsh for some plants that don't like direct afternoon sun, but this plant loves it. Do you have a window with bright light in your residence?
@maribootz25345 жыл бұрын
Everything Plants, Thank you! I do have a sunny west window and I will definitely move it. 💚 thx!

Hello from 🇨🇦! I love that you mentioned where you are from. That is probably the most interesting thing I find about having this channel is where other plant people are from. Thank you for messaging! How long have you had your plant for? Mine seemed to just take off with growth and hasn't stopped.

Do you let your cuttings callous before sticking them in water or soil?
@EverythingPlants4 жыл бұрын
Nope. Stick them right into water. The only plants I will let callus over are succulents.

I have a cutting and its been a month but I have no roots. What am I doing wrong?? 😭
@EverythingPlants3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure of your setup or anything like that, but one of the first things that come to mind are make sure it is in a bright area and make sure you change the water once a week.

Hi! Very detailed video! Love it! Curious about what happens to the mother plant where it was cut from! Will it have new growth somewhere? Thanks!
@EverythingPlants4 жыл бұрын
It will continue to vine, but not from the area you cut. It may start to grow from the closest leaf node area.
@Nothing_Left_To_Say6 ай бұрын
It'a a very problematic plant, it propagate in water, but hard to transfer or propagate in soil
