Man you got it horribly wrong. The stanza is as follows - "You have the right/privilege only for performing actions and not for the results of the actions. The results should not be the motivation for your actions, and you should also not be attached to inaction". This is not the same as not thinking about the outcome! It just means that the fruits of the actions are not in our control and hence attachment to the fruits are ill advised. This single verse of the Gita will take you years to fully grasp and comprehend because it goes deeper and deeper as you gain experience in life. That bearded gentleman and the lady were right to point out that it is not possible to not think of the outcome. You have to think of the outcome, but you should not be attached to it.

NARUTO : If people have not understood this concept of detachment from outcome and pursue the action. I have an interesting example but you should have watched or read Naruto (Anime) ;). Uchiha Itachi is an interesting character who kills his mother,father, uncles and the entire clan. Why? Uchiha clan was conspiring an uprising against the establishment and Itachi was part of special forces of the country (village). He was tasked with the job to stop it as he was an insider. He could have sided with his clan but chose to follow his Dharma of warrior to protect the country and saw the only way/option was to kill all of them. He didn't hesitate, thought did cry when he killed them asking for forgiveness but chose to follow the path he has chosen. He was not attached to the outcome and did his karma (action).

If you are a doctor your action is to give your patient treatment best of your knowledge. If you have a doubt if your treatment can cure or not you wouldn't be able to perform as a good doctor. What ever we do we should put 100% irrespective of the outcome. You can't predict out come and if you are concerned with outcome you may be frustrated if the outcome is different. That may cause you loose your confidence in your action.

Okay enough. To save your valuable time and efforts, here is the short summary of Bhagawad Gita; In this scripture, Lord Krishna advises Arjun that his sole purpose (that is to punish the wrongdoers) is his dharma(duty) and that the rest is illusion. Here Lord Krishna refers Arjuna's relationship to his cousins as illusion. And that the dharma must be performed in dedication of Krishna(The Supreme Lord/Almighty God). And one can only fulfill his dharma through karma(action). Good karma will reap good consequences and the bad karma will only lead to bad consequences. P.S. There are so many enlightening teachings in Bhagawad Gita that it is not possible to elaborate all at once. But these are the primary teachings of Lord Krishna. A guiding beacon to so many!

I think if one focusses on karma yoga as if all parts of life was yoga while being as sincere as possible ,in manifesting it even if the battle in ones mind is ugly . While going consciously forward towards ones goal without worrying about the outcome , one will notice with experience that the outcome is what is meant to be , and one will learn to apreciate what the outcome truely means for you . The outcome is always the fruit of your karma and sincerity. Ones has to cultivate wisdom to apreciate the divine wisdom and the outcome of what one thinks is a satisfactory outcome of ones journey in the karma. A Little Back Story: So There was a kingdom named Hastinapur,Had Two Brothers Older Pandu,Younger Dhritrashtra who was blind,Pandu had 5 son and Dhritrashtra had 100,they were called Pandavas and Kauravas. The Pandu being older had right to throne,but died when his children were very young, so Dhritrashtra was made King until the Oldest son of Pandu Yudhisthir came of age.So Years went by,Pandavas and Kauravas took education, being of warrior clan were taught warfare,etc. But upcoming Pandavas Inheritance to throne made them bitter,they tried to kill pandavas many times,but failed. After some years Yudhisthir was named Inhernt prince,but discontentment took over Kauravas. Oldest and wicked of kauravas was Duryodhan. After some time pandavas agreed to half kingdom and built there own kingdom named Indraprast,mass immigration took place from hastinapur to Indraprast. Duryodhan again been unhappy and Angry due to some incident at Coronation of Yudhisthir at Indraprast, Plotted evil Plan against Pandavas,He Invited Yudhisthir to play Vhyuv(A Game similar to Ludo involves Gambling), He Magically spelled the dice of the game to his will.He set the rules to never abandon the game till the end. Yudhisthir Being an embodiment of Dharma and Thruthfullness agreed to his rules. With the dices dancing to duryodhans will,Yudhisthir started losing,he lost all their wealth, Kingdom,then he gambeld his brothers,and their wife. Pandavas lost everything and became slave to Duryodhan,he insulted them and tried to undress their wife Draupadi in front of everyone present in the council.Krishna saved her by his magic. Pandavas were ordered 14 years of exile in forest. They vowed revenge for this massive trick played against them. After fourteen years Pandavas returned,they started collecting armies for the great war, Pandvas couldn't get lot of kings from other clans on their side,but they had enough for war. Finally they went to krishna,He belonged to Yadav Clan,who had biggest,most fierced army. On behalf of Pandavas,Arjuna was sent and On behalf of Kauravas,Duryodhan. Krishna had power of god,and hismost powerful,Sudarshan Chakra,he could have ended war within seconds if he had fought from any one side. But he was related to both side,He offered Unarmed Himself for one side and All his army for anathor. Arjuna Chose Unarmed Krishna and Duryodhan Chose his army. So Began the war,Kauravas Outnumbered Pandavas,with personnel and number of warriors. Kauravas had The most powerful,Undefeated Bhishma, The teacher of both kauravas and Pandavas Dronacharya,who had extensive knowledge of wars, weapons and had remained undefeatable.The 100 Kauravas, The Mighty karna,One of the greatest warrior and sixth and oldest brother of pandavas who no one was aware of at the time of war. On the other side 5 gallant Pandavas who could have deafeated entire earth alone. So at the time the battle was about to begin,he saw,Bhishma,who took care care of them, when their father died,his teacher Dronacharya,who taught him war,his friends,his cousins, nephews and many relatives. He was reluctant to fight.He said to Krishna,who was unarmed throughout the war,and decided to be his chariotter,that if He were the given the kingdom of all three worlds,he still wouldn't kill his own kind. He was struck with dillema and moral confusion. Then Krishna guides him to his divine duty,his dharma. He conviced arjuna that for the dharma to prevail,for the peace to return on earth,this Destruction is necessary. So Arjuna Fought fiercly,Pandavas defeated unkillable Bhishma, Undefeatable Dronacharya and Karna,with the help of Krishna, and Killed 100 Kauravas. Krishna said- Whenever there will be rise in adharma(Sin, Unrighteousness), I will return and take a living form on earth and reinstate dharma. His tenth and final Kalaki Avatar is awaited.

Dhritarashtra is older (& blind- the reason why he couldn't ascend the throne, fearing he might be ridiculed & disrespected) Pandu is younger (ascended the throne as he was the next & only potential heir to the Kuru (कुरू) dynasty. If your actions results into something better for other people then that is right decision whether or not it is morally correct. Like killing a terrorist who is about to blow up entire craft is morally wrong because you are just killing a person doesn't matter who he is but by killing him you can save 200 people. So although this action seem morally wrong and heinous but is actually the correct path to follow. If someone is attempting suicide, it's morally wrong to interfere in someone else business but by stopping them you are taking right action.

Regarding to the you as an individual have the right to action but no right to the fruit (consequences) of the action. (Also please check UniRider's comment because he explained it well) I'll try to give you my perspective on it, although I know that people enter competitions with the desire of winning, else it's pointless. But it's an analogy. When you are practicing a sport, many of us are longing for the first price 🥇. When we become first we become really happy. When we become second 🥈 we feel sad. When we become last we feel miserable. Why? Because we had developed desires for the fruits of our hours of practice. Now what Krishna explains here is that if you practice with the mindset: Im going to train to the best of my possibilities. I'll 100% commit myself to the practice, without taking shortcuts or cheat. But I don't create any, but honestly any, expectations in the tournament. Then you will be unaffected by the outcome. Whether you become first second or last, it won't affect you. But then the question you will ask yourself is, did I give it my all? Did I put in every drop of blood, sweat in it? Then if you answer is yes, you are okay with it. What else can you do. When one person attains that mindset in all aspects of their life (without losing motivation or interest obviously) those people are freed from temporary joy and suffering. They are like steady flames of a candles 🕯️, unaffected by the waving wind.

Here the outcome is not the most important things but the process. Like different problem has different solutions or outcome. Vagabat Gita does not impose a single outcome to u. It tells the teaching and if anyone understand the teachings? They can apply this teachings to achieve different outcome or solutions. Once u become singular with krishna, when ur everything is krishna u r bound to choose the right decision or follow the dharma. And if not that means u r not yet there. So the outcome could be different and Krishna did not impose any outcome instead he discussed the teaching or process to be followed to achieve enlightenment.

I love your enthusiasm but there is really a lot of philosophy that is not in its totality a deep and clear explanation need to be brought up along with the context of it.. Like you forgot to mention why is he fighting his family and why krishna care about a family drama. Why he chose arjuna and his reasons to be part of mahabharata.. What was his dharma here. Krishna always wanted to prevent this war but went on with total annihilation of all immoral people and for that many good people sacrificed themselves too but he explains that path of righteousness is always tough and those who choose to sacrifice themselves for greater good has already reached the highest level of consciousness. If something gets distorted then one has to devote the precious time of his life to fix it but if the problem is far more complex then one even has to devote his life to solve it, just like in the mahabharata where for a better society krishna had to annihilate all evil men even if good people has to sacrifice themselves.. The Lord says that sometimes we get into illusions maya material aspect of life so deep that there is no hope for person to retum to the path of righteousness and at that time the best thing one can do for such person is to set him free from this maya, so when he then return he will be at a proper place where he can learn and start his spiritual journey again.. But he only intervene when lack of dharma becomes a social issue..

There's one thing you missed out - Mahabharata was not a war or a murder for the sake of it, it was a fight for justice for the Pandavas after all peace talks failed. You didn't mention that even once. Instead you were asking questions is killing wrong? When you say, stop asking what is the outcome of the murder without any context or back story, it will sound weird to people who are listening to it for the first time. Also, you have tried to explain these things in as good a way as possible but these things are not easy even for us Indians. It takes a lot of learning from wise teachers to be able to be understand this spiritually let alone explain it.

Many of your points were not correct (or too much complex to understand). You should had someone hindu to help you. Ex: Brahman is simply "the Universe". According to Hindu Religion the universe is the god. That creates, manages and finally destroys everything. Time to time when there is injustice and people need someone to guide them to the right path, universe will take birth to guide the world. That is concept of "Avtar". Ex: Krishna. Showing you the right path is god's job. But it your own duty to choose the right path. Your choices determines your future.

I wish he would stop using the word 'murder', the word and point here is killing. On the battle field there wasn't going to be any murder there was going to be a lot of killing. Killing is a byproduct of battle but not always the final result as many will give up and put their arms down. Murder is always the final product of intent, which will stem from negative energy (hate, anger, envy, greed etc), killing an opponent who has been defeated and has given up but still alive. His interpretation of Dharma is also wrong, to put it simply it is your duty, which changes with time, your position and circumstance, point by example, Arjun is a son, a farther, a husband, a grandson, an uncle, a brother in law, a prince, a student, and a battle harden warrior. In each of these roles his duty changes and as such his Dharma changes. On the battle field he is warrior, this is his primary duty and thus he has to uphold that and stop focusing on the fact that he is related to half the apposing army. As long as he is able to uphold his duty as a warrior on this battle field without worrying about the outcome then he will have done his Dharma (aka Detachment), and yes as apart of this many great warriors will fall but their bodies will perish while doing their Dharma. As part of this battle the Warrior had to obey the rules of the combat too, by breaking these rules you have fallen short of upholding your Dharma. Hence no cheating to win, winning is not Dharma, but giving your 100% to your Dharma is winning. I can only echo what Krishna below has said you really do need an Indian who understands this philosophy to explain the finer points, as this is misleading the attendants and audience that Lord Krishan gave the green light for murder which he most certainly did not and he most certainly said you will NOT be forgiven for murder. 13.49 His explanation is completely wrong, this is not about the life you were meant to live or following your own set of rules, again it is about duty, it is better that you focus and strive to do your duty better than to be better at somebody elses duty. eg it is better that I strive to be a better farther to my children than to be a better husband to my neighbor's wife (its a crude example I know but its easier to understand). Your interpretation of not focussing on the fruit/results of the action is completely wrong. Krishna never says follow your heart. This heart versus the mind dichotomy is a Western problem. What Krishna say is to that Arjuna should follow his Dharma and not on the results of his actions. In this case, Arjuna should fight injustice -- regardless of who committed the injustice (in this case his cousins and uncles and friends). The true message is that Arjuna should fight for Dharma (in this case Justice). That's the message. You seem to be converting this to some lame idea like "follow your heart" and abandon your rational mind. Krishna never advocated abandoning ones rational mind. Your previous videos had many factual errors -- perhaps forgivable but this interpretation is a gross distortion of Gita's message. Stop this nonsense.

Sumukh Hedge; Sumukh bhai, Bhagwat Geeta claimed to be the printed version of Krishna's verbal discourse to Arjun during the Mabharatha is Bogus as it is based on the recollection of Arjun and Krishna long after their death. Who would take words of wisdom from a Makhan Chore who spent much of his life ogling Gopies bathing at the Yamuna ghats and flirting with 1400 Gopies? May be on flirtation and stealing. @@prosantomukerji3931 from the time of the earliest commentaries on Krishna leela, they've been pretty unambiguous that the relationship of Krishna and the gopikas is symbolic of paramatma and jeevatma. Try to find put what they've meant for taking the butter out of the colloid of curds. But then again you can consider some immoral bhogi as the sole repository of how to interpret the scriptures with his new age power dynamics bullshit and take a similar path to early liver failure and life failure. That aside, don't poke your nose into something you don't care about. You're caught up in some bullshit interpretation of our scriptures and here's a totally different bullshit being woven, so step aside please.
