There is no ‘second step’ because the moment we believe the Gospel found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 which is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise until the day of our redemption which is explained in Ephesians 1: 13-14. Ephesians 2:8-9 says we are saved by grace through our faith, and not by what we do or do not do.

God did not die for us Jesus did, His humanity. We serve a trinitarian God. One God in three distinct persons. If God died then we all die , acts 17:28. So to say the God man died is one thing but God can not change and is eternal.
