I tried them today. Am I impressed. This recipe went way beyond my expectations and delivered the most scrumptious donut. I must say though, I had to keep flouring my hands to handle this dough. Mine came out really sticky even with adding the butter and kneading it more, but the end result was still a perfect tasting donut. I used powdered sugar to coat on some and added a squish of raspberry preserves to the center of others. This is a recipe keeper (my go to recipe for jelly donuts, as we call them here). Thank you again so much for this really tasty and easy recipe😋💋❤💯. These came out so great that I can't wait to try some of your other recipes.🥰🥰🥰🥰

I just made these this morning and they're DELICIOUS! I didn't have regular milk powder but I did have the Carnation brand malt milk powder and it was oh soo good! I coated half of them with cinnamon sugar. I fried them in my skillet at 300° at the 3 minute time stated and it came out perfectly. Thank you for your recipe!

Milk powder can be toasted to give it a nutty caramelly smell\taste and would work well with this recipe.
@g.borgia51003 ай бұрын
Toasting milk powder adds depth and warmth to the natural sweetness of milk powders. In most milk powders, toasting creates a caramel-like, malted, and nutty taste. (This is not to say caramelization has taken place, as that has to do with sugar, not protein, decomposition and higher temperatures. However, in some milk powders (coconut, buttermilk, and malted milk powder) the nuttiness from toasting lessens the milk powder’s natural tang and mellows them out. Depending on what you are looking for flavor-wise, it might be better not to toast your powdered milk. So, consider this if you plan to add milk powders to recipes (read about milk powder). Toasting milk powder adds depth and warmth to the natural sweetness of milk powders.

This is my favourite song from Adam Cheng. Joyce Cheng is also a good singer in her own right....she's also REALLY talented.....though she's has the advantage of having famous parents in showbiz.....it's also disadvantageous for her as she's often overshadowed by her parent's fame eventhough she's really talented in her own right as a real musician.

I just L O V E this recipe ‼️ The 2 things i want to say or ask... How much oil is used in the pan? Cus i didnt get those lovely white "circles " around my donuts🧐😂 And, i didnt know they have to be eaten almost at once 🤭😂 cus they got very... soggy when they was on the counter for just 1-2 hrs. Or did i do something wrong? I would love to make'em again cus first time is always a bit tricky. So please 🙏🏼 can i get a little more information, about oil amount and how to store. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this delicious recipe🫶🏻 ☝🏼 im now a follower 😋
@JR-yy1iv3 ай бұрын
@asmrtriggersearcher, Try setting on paper towels for just a few seconds after removing from the oil and then carefully moving the donuts to a cooling rack placed over a baking tray. The air circulating around them should keep the soggies away. 😁

@@JR-yy1iv Thank you very much! 🤗 i did put them on paper after frying. I have already made them 3 times😛 so good last time i put them in the freezer before the got fully cooled, when i took them out i put them in the oven and then the powder...oh my gosh that worked perfectly. So grateful for this delicious recipe.
