Same here. Can't say I was dead, but I was close. ICU was where I was snatched from the jaws of death. I agree that for the believer, there is no fear in death. I sang this song last night with a mass choir. It has a universalist message. Who is "we?" Is it all humanity? Is it only those who truly believe? What is the role of repentance and humility in sanctifying believers after they are effectually called to faith in Christ? The song leaves a lot of questions open. My mom gets up every day at 3 am to talk to Jesus. I know that's it her prayers that have kept me going. My grandma taught my mom to talk to Jesus. Agreed. I found the artistic representation very cool, as they demonstrated how music can stir up faith. The negative influences of this world are designed to make our heart sick through emotional & physical pain resulting in a given person turning to music as one source of comfort to the body. The painful realty of this existence gives rise to the birth of music in two forms, earthly & HEAVENLY. Earthly music speaks to the experiences of this world through the singer-song writer’s eyes. Oftentimes drug use (i.e. alcohol, smokes, marijuana, cocaine, opioids, benzos and propofol to name a few) is intertwined with the survival of an artist to deal with the pressure of performing in order to stay relevant in the music industry, and to serve as fuel for creativity. As a result, music celebrities develop a tendency to sin against their body, through excessive drug use, for not measuring up to or to satisfy the demands of their music. Any earthly joy they experience is darkened by the heavy burden of performing and the loss of privacy. The end users of their music become fans because the lyrics are relatable and the sound of the singer’s voice & rhythm helps them cope with the pains of this reality. Unfortunately, this band aid approach is only a time out from the hurt and in the meantime we are fortifying its wall with painful memories waiting in line. Who can save us from wounds that are silent, wordless and cruel all the while tearing us apart inch by inch on the inside, which could radically accelerate the demise of the human body? I will use caps as emphasis to show the honest reverence for GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY when writing about HEAVENLY music in the paragraphs below. That INVINCIBLE DIVINE be our HEAVENLY FATHER, WHO THROUGH HIS SON’S MISSION HAS INSPIRED believers to write songs that sing of HIS LIFE GIVING LOVE to deal with emotional & physical pain, economic instability, mortality and the emotional instability of others with the motive of winning over souls for HIS KINGDOM. The melody & theme of HEAVENLY music is hateful and intolerable to the devil, a spirit which causes us to be blinded of the effects of sin and is responsible for the woes of this world such as melancholy, anguish, tribulation and trial. These agitations of the soul create a heavy burden for the lost and could lead him or her to be hostile of songs that sing about GOD’S GLORY. This makes it clear that we cannot win the spiritual battle by our own strength. Moreover, on earth the devil has no equal. GOD has provided us with the ONE WHO CAN AND WILL LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt from a given sinner's heart if he or she (through faith) would open their understanding to Psalms (starting with the focus on Psalms 51:1-10 KJV), and hymns/songs giving praise to HIM for the purpose of being persuaded, converted and healed by the HOLY SPIRIT from within by transforming your body/temple into a meeting place for you and the KING OF THE AGES to commune as friends through the born again experience (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life). It is only here that the fears of tomorrow will diminish, the blessed assurance is given that you are HIS and HE LIVES. Once the blessed assurance is known in prayer (through the confession of wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, combine with admitting that JESUS CHRIST is LORD and believing in one’s heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead to deliver us from sin's guilt) the world can never take it away because the world didn’t give it to you.

Agreed. I found the artistic representation very cool, as they demonstrated how music can stir up faith. The negative influences of this world are designed to make our heart sick through emotional & physical pain resulting in a given person turning to music as one source of comfort to the body. The painful realty of this existence gives rise to the birth of music in two forms, earthly & HEAVENLY. Earthly music speaks to the experiences of this world through the singer-song writer’s eyes. Oftentimes drug use (i.e. alcohol, smokes, marijuana, cocaine, opioids, benzos and propofol to name a few) is intertwined with the survival of an artist to deal with the pressure of performing in order to stay relevant in the music industry, and to serve as fuel for creativity. As a result, music celebrities develop a tendency to sin against their body, through excessive drug use, for not measuring up to or to satisfy the demands of their music. Any earthly joy they experience is darkened by the heavy burden of performing and the loss of privacy. The end users of their music become fans because the lyrics are relatable and the sound of the singer’s voice & rhythm helps them cope with the pains of this reality. Unfortunately, this band aid approach is only a time out from the hurt and in the meantime we are fortifying its wall with painful memories waiting in line. Who can save us from wounds that are silent, wordless and cruel all the while tearing us apart inch by inch on the inside, which could radically accelerate the demise of the human body? I will use caps as emphasis to show the honest reverence for GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY when writing about HEAVENLY music in the paragraphs below. That INVINCIBLE DIVINE be our HEAVENLY FATHER, WHO THROUGH HIS SON’S MISSION HAS INSPIRED believers to write songs that sing of HIS LIFE GIVING LOVE to deal with emotional & physical pain, economic instability, mortality and the emotional instability of others with the motive of winning over souls for HIS KINGDOM. The melody & theme of HEAVENLY music is hateful and intolerable to the devil, a spirit which causes us to be blinded of the effects of sin and is responsible for the woes of this world such as melancholy, anguish, tribulation and trial. These agitations of the soul create a heavy burden for the lost and could lead him or her to be hostile of songs that sing about GOD’S GLORY. This makes it clear that we cannot win the spiritual battle by our own strength. Moreover, on earth the devil has no equal. GOD has provided us with the ONE WHO CAN AND WILL LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt from a given sinner's heart if he or she (through faith) would open their understanding to Psalms (starting with the focus on Psalms 51:1-10 KJV), and hymns/songs giving praise to HIM for the purpose of being persuaded, converted and healed by the HOLY SPIRIT from within by transforming your body/temple into a meeting place for you and the KING OF THE AGES to commune as friends through the born again experience (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life). It is only here that the fears of tomorrow will diminish, the blessed assurance is given that you are HIS and HE LIVES. Once the blessed assurance is known in prayer (through the confession of wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, combine with admitting that JESUS CHRIST is LORD and believing in one’s heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead to deliver us from sin's guilt) the world can never take it away because the world didn’t give it to you.

For someone who struggles with suicidal thoughts daily, severe depression and migraines and pain. Christ is my only hope in this world. I'm so blessed to have an amazing life otherwise, but man, Heaven can't come soon enough. For the unsaved, this life is heaven. For the saved, this life is hell. I highly suggest for those who are struggling to accept Christ to give Him a chance. Your life will NOT be perfect... heck, it will probably be HARDER. Satan KNOWS he doesn't have you and will trip you up any chance he has. But Jesus DOES have you. He will hold you along the way and be your ONLY hope and sustenance in this dirty, horrific world. This song has really been getting my mom, brother and I through the last few weeks. My dad died 3 weeks ago from his ALS, and Jesus has just been comforting us so much and Phil Wickham has always been a great source of worship to sing to, every since I found him in 2007. The morning my dad died, August 30th, 2021 at 5:28AM. My brother and I drove to the ER to meet my mom after she called us and gave us the news that my dad was with Jesus. We weren’t allowed in the ER before this point but we were then, and as my brother and I drove to the hospital, tear-filled, we just had the urge to sing You’re Beautiful as the sun was rising, especially at the bridge: “When we arrive at eternity's shore Where death is just a memory and tears are no more We'll enter in as the wedding bells ring Your bride will come together and we'll sing You're beautiful” Jesus has been there and this has been a serious test of faith. But he has not failed us once, and my dad is finally healed in heaven.

May the Lord our God give you his comforting Peace. I know your pain. My parents both passed in a car crash when I was 12 years old. My heart was broken, hurt and felt an awful emptiness but God filled my heart back his most beautiful LOVE and I have never felt so much joy and purpose in life. What I love about my tragedy is that GOD showed up and has never left me. My parents never got to listen to Phill Wickham’s songs but I do and i think of them living and breathing Heaven’s air. I used to see my mom praising and singing “How Great is Our God” and I can’t contain my tears when I hear Carrie Underwood’s version bc it reminds me of my sweet mom. God sees you guys mourning but HE’s right there next to you, your mom and your brother. He won’t let go of you. I won’t forget the day He filled my heart back with his PEACE and LOVE. HE NEVER FAILS. Please keep my wife in your prayers. She has myotonic muscular dystrophy. Her mobility and ability to walk has regressed over the past few years. Doctors cannot heal or cure her, but I know God can and will. Please make this a daily prayer request for her. It is hard, some days, to stay positive and to not worry about her situation. I have listened to this song many times over the past week. Because of feeling severe disappointment, discarded, and betrayal, my Christian walk became largely stagnant for over a decade. I was bitter, depressed, and resentful. I lost the enthusiasm I had as a young believer. I still read my Bible and went to church because I knew I needed to, but I had no zeal. I knew what it meant to be saved, but on a heart level, I think I forgot the full significance. I still held to my biblical convictions, but without the same zeal. I still trusted Christ for my salvation, but I had been beaten down. Sometimes I saw no point in praying. One time I was so depressed that I considered walking away from God, but He did not let me. Over the next several years, I experienced some slow healing, but the resentment and lack of zeal remained. However, over the past two weeks God has impressed on me again the significance of what Christ did, even more than I ever felt before. When I consider that one who knows every sin I would ever commit (and I have done plenty) would die for me anyway, I am amazed. I genuinely trusted Christ for salvation over 30 years ago, but recently I have felt like a new believer again. The last verse of this song brings to mind two thoughts that amaze me. First, as I grow older, I have become more aware of the sin that remains in me, but I am amazed that someday I will have a new body in which I will be able to worship God forever, unhindered by my fallen nature, not tempted by sin, but instead worship Him purely and forever. I also think about standing with the heroes of the faith. I immediately think of standing with such men as John Knox, Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Wycliffe, William Tyndale - Men who lived during difficult times for the true Gospel but who stood firm in their convictions. Those are the types of men I want to see.

I’m currently fighting a court case where I’m being falsely accused, it seems Al is against me but I believe that the lord is always on my side, I will fear nothing for he is with me.
