How to get an enderpearl: - Boats: probably not, they're more of an exploit - Hiding in a 2-block-high space: endermen have limbs, they can probably bend/crawl and all that - Pouring water/throwing splash water bottles: Valid strategy that could be used in the movie, but maybe endermen are less stupid and teleport away into hiding when they're sufficiently injured - Trading with a cleric: Valid, unless Steve already traded for all of them (Imma assume the cleric can't magically restock their pearls like in the game) - Going to the End and pouring water around you: That might work, but water may actually function properly in the movie - maybe it doesn't just infinitely flow from a source - Going to the End and making a water-filled pond: Valid but maybe Steve is too stupid to think of this or the endermen are smart enough to know his tricks

The thing that made the blocky apples and flower click for me is when I saw the behind the scenes and they had the apples next to the melons. Like, that makes more sense! The only reason apples aren't cubic in Minecraft is because they aren't placable, and the only reason non placeable items are allowed to be not blocky without feeling out of place in Minecraft, is because they're 2D and (usually) pixelated. But if you really think about, why would apples in a world like Minecraft have the shape they have in the game? And since we're seeing such a detailed version of this world, then those things would pop up a lot and make you say "hey, why **isn't** that blocky too?"

i think the biggest problem with people that dislike the movie is that they want it to be exactly minecraft survival, but in some scenes you can see props from another minecraft games (blue boots with feathers in a shelf, from Minecraft Dungeons) its a universe itself, it has its own things that make it unique

I know other people in the comments are trying to defend the movie, but man, it just looks so… off. Idk I get what Philza is saying, everything is furry and proportions are so strange, i think Minecraft as a live action will always look strange to the point where it’s borderline bad no matter who is making it cause it’s not suppose to be translated into live action. I don't know if there's a difference between bedrock and Java ore generation or not but the lapis part is accurate to an extent because I once started up a world in a jungle biome, dug down to stone, and two blocks later I ran into lapis. In the Badlands/ Mesa biome I've found lapis under one block of water in the mini lakes that can spawn. On edge of a jungle biome I found a river that led to a small slightly submerged cave with lapis right under dirt as well so it's not an error they made in the movie it's just a rare ore spawn. Also Steve could be low on ender pearls because he has Elytra meaning he went to the end meaning he spent eyes of ender and he probably had one left over because he didn't have enough blaze powder.

I’m not trying to justify the movie. However, what most people who react to this trailer don’t understand when they say it’s easy to get pearls. Clearly the piglins of this world do not operate like normal Minecraft. So I’m assuming that it is not easy to get enderpearls in the nether biome. It seem like it’s something that happened in the past, since he has Elytra and potions. Maybe the things that are happening with the piglins is new. Also by the looks of it they’re regular humans. Even this version of Steve with Jack Black ages. So I don’t think they have a respawn screen… so if they get killed by a mob it’s game over😬. Not worth the risk if you think about that.

DanTDM mentioned that there is an animated Minecraft series coming out on Netflix. Not sure how true that is or whether he heard about it or actually knows it to be fact but he said that that is probably going to have the animation style we are all expecting.
