@@sealyoness That’s kind of a cynical way of looking at it. White people had to be introduced to things sometimes, but they liked Louis Armstrong and they liked his music. That open the doors for white bread taste to encompass black music. Forever. Bing Crosby was stoned and talented enough to hear it, and white enough and presentable enough that people bought it from him.

I am an old guy now (87 years) and I saw this film in the first week it was released in England, and this HAS to be one of the most catchy songs ever written. Even now I cannot resist tapping my feet when I listen to it. It is one of my "Go to" songs when I think of my past years.

I am a fan of Shirley Bassy, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and the list goes on. The feeling that is generated from these singers is very calm, peaceful and balance and jazz music is no exception. These music teach you how to love, how to appreciate and the importance of time. Every young person should listen to the song 'yesterday when I was young ' I love Jazz Music. It relaxes my mind.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. One of the rare instances where a remake at least equals the original. I think my favorite thing about it though, is that it reveals the origin of Louis Armstrong's famous nickname, Satchmo.

One of my all time fave movies. In 1971 when. I was 14, when I heard ' Satchmo' had died, he was the only 'celebrity' and the last person, I actually shed a little tear for! He really was one of the greats!
