If I remember right, the reason Phineas is even sarcastic at first is because originally, Phineas was supposed to be bratty and even know what he was doing would probably get him in trouble. This is shown in the first season’s theme song’s preview clips: in the absence of a prior season, it appears to feature the concept art for the show instead, which shows a very different side to Phineas. However, it was decided to change Phineas into the more optimistic version he is today! But personally, I think remnants of the original sarcasm remained only in the first episode (albeit reduced) and all appearances since, he was more optimistic and good-hearted. Definitely prefer Phineas this way! 😁👍

Something I absolutely love about Phineas is that his optimism is not superficial at all. A lot of times in kids shows, the 'positive' and 'happy-go-lucky' character is ALWAYS smiling and goofing around and sometimes it honestly gets irritating during situations when they definitely do NOT need to be doing that. Phineas is such a perfect character because he's just like a real kid--bright, full of ideas and occasionally a bit of a dummy too

Ferb loves creating things, he's also very very smart he can speak multi languages, he can build anything out of nothing (sometimes), he quite knowledgeable about certain things, he's creative with his inventions. So yeah the Phineas and Ferb would be like George and Fred but in Ravenclaw due to their creativity, originality, and high level of intelligence but instead they use their knowledge to learn but also have fun in the progress. These two would definitely be popular in Hogwarts and get very high grades.
