Love is what is left over when being in love fades aways. Faith is more than just leaving when every second is left in pain

Just finished listening to the entire album, and I totally agree. Absolute banger with hard-hitting lyrics as well

Thank God, a Christian album that is really about being a Christian! And I needed this song with somethings my family and I are going through.

Definitely check out Phinehas' other albums. Every one of them (with the exclusion of Dark Flag which is a concept album) has immense theological depth in the lyrics. Even Dark Flag has that, though its main focus is calling out the atrocities of the Kim regime in North Korea.

@@jakobfel2 Seconded. Also check out Wolves at the Gate; they're on Solid State too and are VERY overtly Christian (and the music is amazing). The two are easily my favorite bands.

Just an observation from someone who grew up in a strict Christian household and was restricted from listening to "secular music"--there are themes and messages you can take & carry with you from all genres of music, Christian band or not. Some of the most poignant, metaphysical and spiritual awakenings I have gotten from Non-Christian lyricists. The new Architects album is a great example of this.

@@bythesea207Metalcore as a genre in general I find to be relatively uplifting and positively messaged. There's exceptions of course, but you don't run into a lot of Marilyn Mansonesque themes in metalcore, and there's a lot of encouragement, and existential themes.

This is some kind of a "Forever West Part 2". It reminds me that track, musically speaking.

I've never been this early to a blind song release (I don't know if there was a premiere scheduled; it just popped in my recommendations within 3 mins of release). The Fire Itself is Fire! 🔥
