For anyone here resonating with the lyrics because you lost a loved one (dead or alive): You have the strength to rebuild and find your way again. It will get better. Miss them when you have to. Cherish the time you had when you need to. Forgive yourself for not doing enough OR doing something you shouldnt have and water your own garden. It will flourish with time. God, i dont know why i got all preachy like that but it is what it is.

This one hits me hard because I lost a friend to suicide a few years ago and then 2020 happened and it built, rebuilt, and then tore apart a possible relationship with a girl who I met right before the pandemic. It hurts that we don’t talk, and seems time was stolen from both of us as we grew closer. The closer we got, the further it seemed we were from each other and it took this song for me to realize how golden it was for us to be apart. I know this isn’t supposed to be a spiteful song, but the emotion still digs deep down to my core.

No matter how hard or soul-crushing or heartbreaking things are, believe they happened for a reason and maybe the timing wasn't right. Keep your head up, Life's full of a random surprises and endless emotions to be had. Similar situation here so I feel you.

That's the thing about music, even some songs that are unrelated (to a degree) to something you're going through can still hit you in the feels. This one does for me too for a similar reason, it's just the words and how you interpret those words, that's the beauty of music. It's the one thing that stays when everything and everyone else is gone. It's the one thing that stays loyal.

I know exactly how you feel, it would take alot to explain all the things I've been through, but I'll say one or two things in a shorter way, I was in the foster system for almost 14 years, in so many homes, most abusive and the others, I was, uhm, R worded by four different boys and one that was in his twenties, and even when I got out of the system I never was able to make friends irl, so I tried making friends online om quotev, that..didnt end well, was Catfished two times, one of those catfishes didn't do it on purpose, they thought it was a roleplay, while the whole time I thought I was in a relationship with him, my deppression was made worse there because I had one friend uhm, "commit" and I had to take care of three other peoples mental states, constantly begging them not to hurt themselves or worse, I've been cheated on more times than I can count, straight up ghosted and abandoned many times, so yeah, I really just gave up on trying to make friends, no one ever stays, no matter what the f*ck they say, I can't even count the amount of times I've f*cking heard "well I'm different, I won't leave you" I'm still alone, and I always will be, I can't trust anyone anymore, and that makes me even worse..all I want is someone who truly understands what I've been through..who will stay..but I'm too scared..I can't, I can't go through that potential pain again.. Edit: hah, looks like this turned into a long version instead of short, sorry..I doubt you'll even read this, probably wasted more of my life hoping someone will be there for me ;-; Welp, back to playing epic seven I guess
